Definitions

  • the invention relates to a trough-shaped filter plate for rotary pressure filters with a filtrate tube and welded, circumferentially sealed wire mesh, with an outer circumferential groove for receiving a sealing ring for sealing against adjacent parts.
  • Such filter plates are factory internal state of the Tech ⁇ nik the patentee and are used in the rotary pressure filter for continuous filtration of * to be separated Walpha ⁇ sigen mixtures.
  • a filter consists of a rotating filter drum, which is divided into filter cells, and a filter housing, which is divided into several pressure-tight chambers and an unpressurized removal chamber.
  • the individual filter cells are • equipped with filter plates, which can be covered with different filter fabrics. In this filter fabric of the actual Fil place 'instead trationsvorgang.
  • the turbidity introduced into the housing under pressure reaches the filter cell len, where a filter cake from the solid builds up on the filter fabric, through which the filtrate reaches the inside of the drum via filtrate pipes.
  • Different filter fabrics are used depending on the nature of the mixture to be separated. It is common to use multi-layer special wire mesh in the methyl cellulose filtration. The filter plates are covered with the special wire mesh and welded all around. The plasma welding required due to the very thin wire diameter is extremely difficult and cost-intensive. If the filter plate is now to be re-tensioned with filter fabric, it is necessary to separate the old fabric from the filter plate by milling and to provide the filter plate with a new filter fabric with the aid of a new plasma welding. This process is very expensive and, moreover, cannot be repeated as often as required.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to enable a filter plate to be covered with wire mesh simply, as often as desired and inexpensively.
  • Such a filter plate is simple and can be covered with wire mesh as often as required.
  • the seal between the filter plate and the wire mesh takes place primarily through the sealing ring inserted into the groove while on the four outer corner edges of the filter plate, the corner areas of the wire mesh are to be welded together.
  • the sealing ring In order to replace the wire mesh, only the sealing ring has to be removed and the wire mesh removed from the filter plate. Machining of the filter plate, as in the case of conventional all-round welding of the filter plate to the wire mesh by milling, is not necessary.

  • FIG. 4 a covering process.
  • a filter plate 1 of a filter cell of a rotary pressure drum filter not shown in the drawing, has a filtrate tube 2 and an outer circumferential groove 3 for receiving a sealing ring 4 for sealing against adjacent parts, such as other filter plates or support frames.
  • the filter plate 1 is covered with a multilayer wire mesh 5. Edges 6 of the wire mesh 5 are placed around the plate edge 7 of the filter plate 1 into the groove 3.
  • the filter plate 1 is covered as follows:
  • the wire mesh 5 is first cut to size. At the corners of the wire mesh 5, rectangular cutouts 8 are formed which are continued in 45 bevels 9, so that corner regions 10 are formed.
  • the wire mesh 5 is then folded on edges 11 and placed over the filter plate 1. With a device 12, the wire mesh 5 is pressed wrinkle-free onto the plate edge 7 and drawn into the groove 3. In this position, the corner regions 10 of the folded wire mesh 5 abut each other at right angles and are welded to one another, as are the bevels 9 which collide in the groove 3 (see FIG. 2).
  • the sealing ring 4 is inserted into the groove 3.
  • the sealing ring 4 thus provides a seal on the one hand - -
  • a filtrate flow can only penetrate through the wire mesh 5 into the interior of the filter plate 1 and run through the filtrate tube 2.
