- the invention relates to an injection adapter with a fastening element for introducing a flowable mass according to the preamble of the main claim and a method for attaching a corrosion protection to an expansion plug used in a borehole of a masonry, using the injection adapter.
- Fastening elements are known which are designed as metallic expansion anchors and can be positively inserted in boreholes with an undercut. With these fasteners extremely secure fastenings can be made in concrete or the like, with very high extraction forces being achieved. For special applications it may be necessary to provide the metallic fastening elements with a corrosion protection, for which purpose a viscous sealing compound can be used.
- DE-A 3538995 discloses corrosion protection for such a fastening element.
- the sealant is first introduced into the borehole.
- the metallic expansion plug is then inserted into the borehole, the sealing compound being displaced so that it rises towards the mouth of the borehole.
- the amount of the anti-corrosion agent must be sufficient so that it can rise up to the mouth of the borehole.
- the cavities located in the interior of the fastening element cannot be safely filled with anti-corrosion agents using this known method.
- the injection adapter engages over the threaded bolt of the fastening element and closes tightly with respect to the end face of the sleeve of the fastening element.
- a corrosion protection agent as a flowable mass into the injection adapter pressed, the anti-corrosion agent flows between the threaded bolt and the sleeve in the fastening element until it emerges again at the bottom of its expansion part and rises on the outside of the sleeve in the borehole to the borehole mouth. This ensures that the fastening element is completely coated on the inside and outside with anti-corrosion agent, which results in optimal corrosion protection.
