- the jack 42 is then again actuated in the opposite direction to advance the clamp 46 to the position of FIG. 4.
- the rod 22 is held in the position according to Figure 3, while the open clamp 46 can slide relative to the rod 22.
- the cylinder 42 is again actuated to move the clamp in the position according to Figure 5 and release the rod 22 of an additional length corresponding to the stroke of the piston rod 44.
- the tool 30 is pushed back by the rod 22 into the position of FIG. 5, while the carriage 32 remains stationary at the same place on the lookout 26.
