Abstract
Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Fibrillen aus offenzelligen Schäumen, wie beispielsweise Melaminharz-Schaumstoffen, Polyurethan-Schaumstoffen oder Phenolharz-Schaumstoffen.
- Aufgrund der Stoffeigenschaften solcher Schäume, beispielsweise des Melaminharz-Schaumstoffes, - ®Basotect - und der geometrischen Form von Fibrillen eignen sich Fibrillen aus Melaminharz-Schaumstoff für die Herstellung von Vliesen, Filzen, Kupplungsbelägen, Bremsbelägen, Dichtungen aller Art, etc.
- In der Vergangenheit wurde versucht, diese Fibrillen nach bekannten Verfahren herzustellen, nämlich durch Fällen von Lösungen oder thermoplastischen Schmelzen in ein Flüssigkeitsbad oder in ein Gas. Des weiteren wurde versucht, die im Melaminharz-Schaumstoff vorhandenen Zellstege mechanisch mittels handelsüblicher Trockenmühlen aufzutrennen und diese als verästelte, fibrillenartige Fasern zu separieren.
- Mit keinem der aufgezeigten Verfahrensschritte konnten Fibrillen hergestellt werden, die sich zur Herstellung der oben aufgeführten Artikel eigneten.
- Es stellte sich daher die Aufgabe, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Fibrillen aus offenzelligen Schäumen zu entwickeln, wobei sich diese Fibrillen zur Herstellung von Vliesen, Filzen, Kupplungsbelägen, Bremsbelägen, Dichtungen aller Art, etc. eignen sollten.
- Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß diese Schäume vorzerkleinert und anschließend mittels handelsüblicher Geräte in Wasser oder anderen Flüssigkeiten einer intensiven Scherbeanspruchung ausgesetzt werden.
- Als Flüssigkeiten werden insbesondere organische Lösungsmittel eingesetzt.
- Hierzu werden beispielsweise sogenannte Aufschlußgeräte, wie Ultra-Turrax, Inline-Turrax oder Gorator verwendet.
- Über diesen Verfahrensweg konnten verästelte, voneinander unabhängige Fibrillen hergestellt werden, die die Eigenschaft haben, sowohl im trockenen als auch im nassen Zustand Vliese zu bilden.
- Eine Optimierung der Fibrillen, zugeschnitten auf die einzelnen Anwendungsgebiete kann durch Änderung dar Parameter wie Schergeometrie, Scherintensität, Stoffdichte, Aufschlußzeit bzw. durch Zugabe von Tensiden oder anderen Zusatzstoffen vorgenommen werden.
