Abstract

Bei einem Tauchkolben für Verbrennungsmotoren mit ei­ nem kühlöldurchfluteten Kolbenkopf, bei dem die Küh­ lölführungsmittel bestehen aus einem radial außen ge­ legenen geschlossenem Kühlringkanal (4), in den vom Kolbenboden (2) aus im wesentlichen parallel zur Kol­ benlängsachse ausgerichtete Sacklochbohrungen (6) einmünden und einem zentralen Kühlraum (5), der über radiale Querbohrungen (7) mit den Sacklochbohrungen (6) verbunden ist, wobei das Kühlöl den Kühlölfüh­ rungsmitteln radial innen über den zentralen Kühlraum oder radial außen über den äußeren Kühlringkanal durch eine geschlossene Zuführleitung zugeführt wird und die Kühlölführungsmittel zur Ermöglichung einer Ölshakerbewegung in keinem Betriebszustand des Kol­ bens voll ausgefüllt, soll die auf den Kolbenboden ausgehende Kühlwirkung erhöht werden.
Zu diesem Zweck ist der radial äußere Kühlringkanal (4) über mindestens einen direkt von diesem ausgehen de Überströmkanal (8) mit dem unteren Bereich des zentralen Kühlraums (5) verbunden.
