  • mills are provided with a series of large flaps or doors pivotably hinged to the machine housing, via which the inside of the mill, in particular the rollers and the screens, is accessible for inspection, cleaning and repair purposes.
  • These are access doors which are generally used in machine and apparatus construction for similar purposes, which are hinged to hinges and can be locked on the edge opposite the hinges by means of commercially available rotary lever locks.
  • Usually only such a closure is provided; in exceptional cases, however, such as in the case of doors with a particularly large area, two such locks are occasionally used, which are generally to be operated individually or in succession.
  • Unauthorized opening of the doors should be avoided for safety reasons - locks or corresponding screw connections that can be actuated using a separate socket wrench are also used.

All of these levers have restoring forces due to their storage in rubber spring elements, which is yet to be described which, in the rest position, that is to say when the drive 9 is not switched on, bring about a vertical position of all the levers.
