- the invention relates to a knife consisting of a leaf, goiter and tang, in which the tang and leaf are welded to opposite flat surfaces of the goiter and consist of steel.
- Such a knife is known from US-PS 689 049 and FR-PS 694 520. Both writings describe a knife in which the leaf, bolster and tang are forged separately from one another, possibly also from different materials, and then welded together. Compared to the classic production method - forging a blade consisting of a blade, tang and goiter in one piece - this solution significantly reduces the production costs.
