Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a central vacuum cleaning installation provided with a complete and automatic cleaning-evacuation system by flushing and double rinsing.
  • These means consist of a pierced annular conduit disposed in the central part of the enclosure, directed towards the water reserve and connected to a pressurized water circuit also ensuring the control of said flexible shut-off valve.
  • the object of the present invention is to improve such a system by improving the flushing function and by adding to it a final rinsing device in order to improve the efficiency of the evacuation and cleaning of the interior of the enclosure.
  • the subject of the invention is a central vacuum cleaning installation consisting of an enclosure body comprising, in the upper part, a compartment in which is housed a central vacuum unit and, in the lower part, on the one hand, a water reserve, known as washing water, the level of which is flush with the orifice of an evacuation pipe in which is disposed a flexible shut-off valve, controlled from a source of water under pressure, and, on the other hand, a bubbling elbow plunging into said water reserve and connected, outside the enclosure and via a network of fixed pipes, to hydrants suction arranged in the premises or parts of a building for residential or other use, in the central part of said enclosure also comprising means for generating hunting effect, characterized in that the means for generating flushing devices consist of a water inlet at the lower end of the enclosure by means of a pipe connected to said source of pressurized water and in which is interposed a solenoid valve and a tap and a needle valve controlled by a float arranged inside the enclosure, above the water reserve
  • the device shown diagrammatically in FIG. 1 comprises a substantially cylindrical dedusting unit comprising a hollow central body 1, surmounted by a casing 2 enveloping the motor 3 - turbine 4 assembly and secured at its lower part to a bowl 5 at the end hemispherical closed by a drain plug 6.
  • the body 1 defines a closed enclosure 7 communicating at its upper part with the suction orifice 8 of the turbine 4, the evacuation taking place through a conduit 9.
  • the orifice 8 is protected by an openwork plate 10.
  • the introduction of dust into the body 1 is carried out by a pipe 11 provided with a bubbling elbow 12 immersed in a reserve of water 13 provided in the bowl 5.
  • Line 11 is connected, in known manner, to a network (not shown) of lines leading to a certain number of suction outlets distributed in different rooms or rooms and each provided with a micro-contact (14, FIG. 6 ) incorporated, connected to the electrical circuits controlling the installation.
  • a baffle 15 is fixed to the right of the orifice 16 for evacuating the device, which communicates with a pipe 17 for evacuating dirty water in which is interposed a valve 18 of the type with flexible obturation sleeve 19.
  • the control fluid of the valve 18 is pressurized water coming, for example, from the municipal distribution network and brought by a pipe 20.
  • the line 20 is connected to the valve 18 via a line 21 in which is interposed a solenoid valve 22 called drain.
  • the pipe 20 is also connected by a pipe 25 to the lower end of the bowl 5.
  • a solenoid valve 26 called filling
  • a needle valve 27 controlled by a float 28.
  • the pipe 20 is finally connected by a pipe 29 in which is interposed a solenoid valve 30, said to be rinsing, on the one hand, to an annular diffuser 31 by a branch 29a and, on the other hand, to a sprinkler diffuser 32 by a branch 29b.
  • the annular diffuser 31 is fixed around the vertical part of the elbow 12 and is located substantially in the central zone of the enclosure 7.
  • the diffuser 31 consists of two removable parts defining between them at least one circular row of holes 33 directed downwards.
  • the diffuser 32 is fixed to the end of a vertical duct 34 disposed above the elbow 12 in the direction of the central vacuum unit 3,4.
  • This duct 34 is connected to the pipe 29b and passes through a dust filter 35 in the form of a disc sandwiched between two perforated shells 36.
  • the diffuser 32 comprises at least one, and preferably two, circular rows of superimposed holes 37 directed downwards, that is to say towards the filter 35.
  • elbow 12 is provided, in the lower part, above the water reserve 13, with a deflecting plate 38 in the form of a funnel facing downwards, against water splashes.
  • the circuit includes a programmer with a motor 40 and the various contacts controlled successively, namely the contacts 41 and 42 for the solenoid valves 22 and 26, the contact 43 for the solenoid valves 24 and 30, the contact 44 for deactivation of the contacts. 14 and of motor 3 and the contact 45 for stopping motor 40 of the programmer.
  • the programmer motor is started by a push button 46.
  • the programmer (40) is put into service by pressing the push button 46 which triggers a cycle for example of a duration of six hours during which the contacts 41 to 45 will be actuated according to a preset schedule.
  • the cycle controlled by the programmer begins with the closing of the contact 41 which opens the solenoid valve 22 controlling the closing of the valve 18 (FIG. 2). Then a few seconds later, the contact 44 is closed, thus authorizing the starting of the motor 3.
  • FIG 3 illustrates the operation of the device.
  • the dust-laden air passes through the pipe 11, the elbow 12, dabbles in the water reserve 13 where the largest of the debris and dust is retained.
  • contact 44 is reopened, this which prohibits any starting of the engine 3 (or cuts it if it was running). As soon as the contact 44 opens, the flushing effect takes place, the emptying and then the rinsing of the enclosure 7, the whole taking place during a time interval of 4 minutes for example.
  • Figure 4 illustrates the implementation of the flushing effect which is triggered by the closing of the contact 42 opening the solenoid valve 26.
  • the water fills the enclosure 7 from below to the height of the float 28 which fixes maximum level (safety) and will stop sending water by closing tap 27.
  • contact 43 is reopened.
  • the end of the cycle is determined by the opening of contact 45, de-energizing the motor 40 of the programmer.
  • the contacts 41 to 45 are then all open as shown in FIG. 6 and the solenoid valves 22, 24, 26 and 30 are all de-energized as illustrated in FIG. 1, the device being at rest, with the valve 18 open.
  • the device is ready for a new cycle triggered by pressing the button 46 again.
  • FIG. 7 illustrates a so-called industrial version of the device illustrated in FIG. 3, in which the central vacuum unit (3, 4), because of its dimensions, cannot be integrated into the body of the dedusting device and is not shown in this figure 7.
  • the body 1 of the device is extended at the top so as to define above the filter 35 and the diffuser 32, a cylindrical housing closed by a cover 47 and receiving an auxiliary dust filter 48 of annular shape , supported by an openwork plate 49 pierced in its center with an orifice in which is engaged a tube 50 held in the lower part by an annular plate 51 and opening out above and in the vicinity of the diffuser 32.
  • An annular space 52 is thus defined between the two plates 49 and 51 and the tube 50, which space communicates with the evacuation pipe 9.
