Definitions

  • the invention relates to a bulkhead of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 for a door or the like, in particular for retaining fire-fighting water, for watertight closure of the lower part of the door opening.
  • shut-off plate In the lower area of the door opening, which is to be locked, there is a sealed receptacle for the shut-off plate which is essentially trapezoidal and tapers downwards.
  • the vertical guides for the shut-off plate and the cable guides represent a considerable effort and are also unsightly in appearance.
  • DE-U1 89 00 529 is a device for forming a device that extends across the width of a building opening
  • the threshold is located in a housing that is sunk in the floor when the device is assembled.
  • a special lifting device is provided to raise the threshold.
  • This known device has the disadvantage that it is very complex because of the lifting device and is also prone to failure, in particular because the threshold in the floor can become inoperable due to mechanical damage, corrosion or contamination.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a bulkhead of the type in question, which is simple in construction and reliable and also does not interfere with appearance.
  • the invention is based on the idea of basically arranging the shut-off plate in the lower area on the door even when there is no emergency. This eliminates the need for guides and actuating devices on the side and above the door, which can also be unattractive.
  • the basic idea of the invention offers the possibility of two alternative embodiments.
  • One is that the door closes substantially the entire door opening while the shut-off plate is on either side of the door.
  • the door is therefore designed as a normal door, and the shut-off plate is detachably connected to it at the bottom, so it normally always moves with the door. In the event of danger, the connection between the shut-off plate and the door is released, so that the shut-off plate can lower in the desired manner and comes into engagement with the holding means.
  • the shut-off plate is expediently arranged on such a side of the door that the door can still be opened and closed despite the lower and fixed shut-off plate.
  • a particularly expedient alternative of the basic idea of the invention is that the upper part of the door opening which cannot be closed by the shut-off plate can be closed by a door with which the shut-off plate can be detachably connected and pivoted about a common axis.
  • the lower part of the door i.e. the shut-off plate
  • no external structural elements are visible in this embodiment.
  • the door can be a swing door, but the basic idea of the invention can also be used in the same way for a sliding door, a sectional door or a roller door. If it is a pivoting door, it is advisable to equip the shut-off plate with its own hinge so that it can also be pivoted separately from the rest of the door.
  • the shut-off plate can also be easily held by the door without such a hinge and, in an emergency, when it is detached from the door, can engage with holding means, for example by lowering, which then provides an independent holder in an emergency.
  • the locking plate is released from the door, which then sinks down. This lowering movement can then be used for positive engagement in corresponding sockets or holders.
  • the holding means can hold the shut-off plate hanging on the door. In the case of a swing door, it is also possible that the holding means from below against a part of the hinge holding the shut-off plate connected to the shut-off plate and thus the shut-off plate against the lower edge of the door Press and hold the locking means provided between the shut-off plate and the door.
  • shut-off plates and doors can together form a double-leaf door or flap.
  • locking means are expediently provided which rigidly connect the two shut-off plates to one another in an emergency in an emergency.
  • the holding means can be held in the holding position by a permanent magnet and can be biased in the opening direction by a spring. Means are provided for canceling the holding force of the permanent magnet in an emergency, so that the shut-off plate is then released and can perform its bulkhead function, while the door can be opened or closed at the same time.
  • shut-off plate and / or the door can be fire-retardant.
  • a door frame 2 is fastened in an opening in a wall 1 to which hinges are used 3 a door 4 is pivotally attached in a known manner with a lever handle 5.
  • a lever handle 5 In the upper area of door 4 there is an automatic door closer 6.
  • the lower part of the door 4 forms a shut-off plate 7 which is pivotally attached to the door frame 2 by means of hinges 8.
  • the hinges 8 are designed so that the shut-off plate 7 can move somewhat vertically. In the position shown, the shut-off plate 7 has moved the farthest downward and lies with its lower edge 9, on which a seal 10 is located, on a floor 11. Lateral edges 12 of the shut-off plate 7 run towards one another at a slight incline, so that the shut-off plate 7 is trapezoidal.
  • the edges 12 are complementary shaped edges 13 of the door frame 2 opposite. Between the edges 12 and 13 there are seals 14 which, when the shut-off plate 7 is lowered due to the wedge action between the edges 12 and 13, seal them firmly against one another.
  • the lower region of the door In the position shown, which may correspond to an emergency, the lower region of the door is tightly closed by the shut-off plate 7, so that extinguishing water or dangerous liquids are prevented from passing through to the height of the upper edge 16 of the shut-off plate 7.
  • the door closer 6 always closes the door automatically.
  • shut-off plate 7 In the normal case, that is to say if a liquid-tight partitioning of the lower region of the door opening is not required, the shut-off plate 7 is in a raised state, so that the upper edge 16 of the shut-off plate 7 abuts the lower edge 15 of the door 4. In this position, the shut-off plate 7 is held by two-armed levers 19 and 20, which engage with hooks 21 and 22 on pins 23 and 24 on the shut-off plate 7 when they have been pivoted into the corresponding pivot position via rods 25 and 26.
  • the rods 25 and 26 are each articulated on the arms of a double lever 27 which can be rotated in the center by means not shown, for example through a polygonal hole, in the drawing in FIG.
  • the double lever 27 is held by a permanent magnet 28.
  • the double lever 27 is biased by a spring 29 in the clockwise direction and thus in the opening direction, so that when the double lever 27 is released from the magnet 28 in an emergency, the shut-off plate 7 automatically lowers and the hooks 21 and 22 move upwards so far that the door 4 can be opened freely.
  • the removal of the force of the magnet 28 can either be done manually by means of a polygonal key with which the double lever 27 is forcibly rotated, or else automatically by suitable means, for example by a heat or moisture sensor.
  • Fig. 4 shows an enlarged partial section IV-IV through Fig. 1, so that it can be clearly seen that there are 7 hooks 30 and 31 on the edge 12 of the shut-off plate, 7 tabs 32 and 33 on the door frame 2 in the lowered state of the shut-off plate reach behind, so that the shut-off plate 7 is held in the lowered position and thus positively in the partitioning position in an emergency.
  • the hooks 30 and 31 can move freely over the tabs 32 and 33.
  • FIG. 5a shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention in the case of a sliding gate or a sliding door 34 which is slidably suspended by means of rollers 35 and 36 in a rail 37 which is attached to a wall 38.
  • the lower part of the sliding door 34 is formed by a shut-off plate 39 which is connected to the lower edge of the sliding door 34 by means of only schematically illustrated locks 40, which is connected only to that part of a door opening 41 which cannot be covered by the shut-off plate 39.
  • the lock 40 is released when the sliding door is closed, so that the shut-off plate 39 with its sloping side edges and with its lower edge is then lowered in a form-fitting and tight manner into a socket (not shown).
  • Fig. 5b is a section through Fig. 5a and illustrates how the shut-off plate 39 continues the door 34 downward and forms a unitary whole with it.
  • FIG. 6a shows an exemplary embodiment according to the invention in the case of a section door which consists of individual sections 42 which are connected to one another in an articulated manner and are guided laterally in rails 43 and 44.
  • Fig. 6b which is a vertical section through Fig. 6a, illustrates the course of the guide rail 43. From Fig. 6a as well as from Fig. 6b it can be seen that the bottom section forms a shut-off plate 45, which has only schematically shown locks 45 is connected to the adjacent section above. The shut-off plate 45 always moves with the section door during normal use. In the event of danger, the locks 46 are released so that the shut-off plate 45 remains in the closed position when the sections 42 of the section door lying above are moved upward to open.
  • FIG. 6c shows, in the same representation as FIG. 6b, a modification thereof, in that all sections 42 of the section door extend down to the floor, while a shut-off plate 47 can be released in parallel on the lowermost section 42 by means of holding means 48 which are only shown schematically connected is.
  • Fig. 7 shows a further modification of Fig. 6b in the upper region in that the individual sections are wound on a roller 49 which is arranged above the door opening 41. In this case it is a roller door.
  • Fig. 8 shows a third embodiment in which the lower part of a door 53 is formed by a shut-off plate 54 which is pivotally held by its own hinges 55 and 56, which are aligned with hinges 57 and 58 of the door 53.
  • the hinges 55 and 56 have sufficient vertical play so that the shut-off plate 54 can be moved vertically in the direction of a double arrow 59.
  • a one-armed lever 61 which is connected to a pull rod 62, the upper end of which is connected to an end 63 of a double-armed lever 64, the other end 65 of which is normally attracted by a magnet 66 to a lower part 60 of the hinge 56 is, so that the shut-off plate 54 is pressed via the pull rod 62 and the lever 61 with its upper edge 67 against a lower edge 68 of the door 53.
  • the magnet 66 is rendered ineffective, for example in the same way as the permanent magnet 28 in the embodiment according to FIG. 1, so that the shut-off plate 54 sinks and its upper edge 67 is released from the lower edge 68 of the door 53.
  • FIG. 9 which is a section IX-IX through FIG. 8 in general and on an enlarged scale in FIGS. 10 and 11, the upper edge 67 and the lower edge 68 form a labyrinth seal.
  • 10 shows the shut-off plate 54 in the lowered position, that is to say in an emergency.
  • an intermediate space 69 which represents the labyrinth seal, is formed, which, although enlarging the labyrinth seal somewhat, does not in principle render it ineffective with regard to the vertical gap portions.
  • an expanded part 70 of the intermediate space 69 there is a strip 71 made of a on the lower edge 68 of the door 53 Material that foams when heated so that the labyrinth seal formed by the space 69 is hermetically sealed.
  • FIG. 10 shows the detail X from FIG. 9 in the same way as FIG. 10 in an enlarged illustration, but in this case the shut-off plate 54 is shown in a raised position as it corresponds to the illustration in FIG. 8.
  • a pin 72 attached to the lower edge 68 of the door 53 engages in a recess 73 in the upper edge 67 of the shut-off plate 54.
  • FIG. 12 shows a further embodiment of the invention as a modification of the embodiment according to FIGS. 8 to 11.
  • door 53 and shut-off plate 54 are each designed as a double door or as a double flap.
  • the locking plates 54 are released from the doors 53 in the final case in the same manner as has been described in connection with FIGS. 8 to 11.
  • a lever 74 is provided which is released by lowering the shut-off plate 54 or by a special actuating device 75 and is or can be moved into a horizontal position 74 ′ shown in dashed lines, in which it is behind a hook 76 falls on the other shut-off plate 54.
  • a rod 77 is provided, which in the illustration in FIG. 12 is inserted in a guide 78 and can be inserted into a further guide 79 of the other shut-off plate via the connecting gap between the two shut-off plates 54, so that the two shut-off plates 54 are thereby rigidly connected to one another are held in the closed position.
