Description

The invention relates to a hair clipper of the type corresponding to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a hair clipper is known as a shaving and hair clipper from DE-PS 392 773. A normal double-sided razor blade is used, which can be fastened to the cutter head by means of a releasable clamping device, as is known from the well-known manual shaving apparatus. This clamping device comprises a slightly curved plate covering the razor blade except for the cutting edges, which can be tightened against a correspondingly arched base by means of a screw which, in the middle, penetrates a perforation of the razor blade and thereby clamps the razor blade located therebetween. The clamping device is complex to manufacture and, owing to the essentially linear arrangement, cannot ensure that the razor blade is clamped free of vibration in the vicinity of the cutting edge.

The invention has for its object to improve a generic hair clipper.

This object is achieved by the invention given in claim 1. The blade is simply inserted lengthways from the outside into the holder and, due to this process, is already tight under tension and vibration-proof due to the flat contact, without the need for further measures. The definition does not require the loosening of parts which can be separated from one another and can be lost.

A design of the blade that is particularly suitable for this type of fixing is the subject of claims 2 and 3.

These features are known per se from DE-AS 15 53 829.

DE-PS 392 773 has a single blade with two cutting edges pointing towards opposite sides. The two rollers are located near the cutting edges on the same side of the blade. When changing the cutting edge while rotating the device by 180, the roller comes to lie on the other side, as seen by the operator, which makes operating the device difficult or even impossible in practice.

An important embodiment of the invention with regard to the presence of two cutting edges is accordingly the subject of claim 4. By using two blades and their attachment on different sides of the knife head extending between the rollers, the orientation of the roller to the cutting edge is always the same, regardless of whether now with one side or after turning around 180 with the other side of the device. In addition, the cutting edges can be replaced individually.

In a first possible embodiment, the blade can be arranged opposite the roller according to claim 5.

In this position, a strand of hair led around the roller comes to rest against the cutting edge at a cutting angle and can still be cut. this applies of course, especially for strands that lie on the roller in areas that are approximately present and are recessed in relation to the outermost circumference of the roller.

Such roles are the subject of claim 6.

There can be one on the outer circumference of the roll, i.e. strand lying on the circumferential webs can no longer be reached and cut by the cutting edge, but a strand lying on the base of the circumferential grooves can. So only part of the hair layer distributed over the length of the roller is cut, another part not, i.e. there is a simple thinning effect.

In order to make this effect particularly pronounced and to prevent strands of hair lying on circumferential webs from slipping off and being separated from the circumferential web when working, the embodiment according to claim 7 is recommended.

This design of the circumferential surface of the circumferential webs results in a type of edge being formed on the two flanks of the circumferential webs, which prevents the strand of hair resting on this circumferential web from sliding sideways into one of the adjacent circumferential grooves. The hair strands lying on the outside and entering the inside of the circumferential grooves and preferably exposed to the cutting action are effectively separated in this way.

This effect is not present in the known rollers with circumferential grooves. In DE-PS 392 773, the rollers have thread-like circumferential grooves, the purpose of which is to move the hair a little in the axial direction when the rollers rotate, in order to achieve a pulling cut. The circumferential webs are so narrow here that the hair cannot be held on the outer circumference thereof and the entirety of the hair of a strand is found on the base of the circumferential grooves. In the razor known from DE-PS 12 444, the cutting edge is on one Assigned to the axis are individual rollers which are intended to prevent the cutting edge of the razor from penetrating into the skin during shaving and which, when rotated, are intended to remove the soap foam and the cut hair. If it is essentially a blunt cut, the rollers can be designed in the manner set out in claim 11. The circumferential webs are designed here only as relatively thin disks which have the sole purpose of keeping the fingers away and preventing cut injuries on the cutting edge.

The embodiment according to claim 12 results in a roll for a pronounced effect cut, in which the strand is displaced along the cutting edge during movement through the helically wound peripheral web.

As can be seen from Fig. 1, the roller 8 is a smooth cylindrical roller. In contrast, the roller 9 has circumferential grooves 26 distributed over its length at regular intervals. The overall structure of the hair clipper 40 differs from the embodiments 10, 20 and 30 only by the type of rollers 59, 59 '.
