Definitions

  • the invention relates to a radiator with two vertical, mutually parallel pipes, which can be connected at the lower end to a fixed flow or return and connected to each other by a plurality of horizontal, also parallel pipes with a circular cross-section, the
  • the interior is connected to the interior of the vertical tubes via openings formed in the welded tubes, the horizontal tubes being C-shaped and with their end pieces adjoining a tube bend each connected to one of the vertical tubes such that the between pipe center piece running the two pipe bends, which exceeds the distance between the vertical pipes, runs at a distance in front of the vertical pipes.
  • a heater of the type described above is known from DE-U-89 06 829.
  • the vertical tubes are designed with a rectangular cross-section and combined in a central distribution body, either directly adjacent to one another or parallel to one another at a distance.
  • the horizontal, C-shaped in plan view and designed with a circular cross-section Pipes are welded into openings that are formed in the side walls of the rectangular, perpendicular pipes.
  • the heat exchange surface can be adapted not only by varying the number of horizontal pipes and, if appropriate, the length of the vertical pipes, but also by changing the length of the C-shaped, horizontal pipes.
  • the known construction neglects questions of standardization, economical production and use and also the visual effect.
  • the invention has for its object to develop a radiator of the type known from DE-U-89 06 829 in such a way that, while maintaining all possibilities for changing the heat exchange surface, standardization of such radiators is possible on the one hand and production and assembly simplified and thus made more economical on the other will.
  • the solution to this problem by the invention is characterized in that the end pieces of the horizontal pipes are connected to the front or rear of the vertical pipes, also of circular cross-section, and that the horizontal and vertical pipes are connected by means of cross-hole welding.
  • the C-shaped and horizontal pipes By connecting the end pieces of the horizontal pipes to the front or back of the vertical pipes, the C-shaped and horizontal pipes with certain manufacturing tolerances can be connected to vertical pipes that are regularly spaced apart. This not only gives the radiator an optically light effect;
  • the standardized vertical pipes make the mechanical Manufacturing simplified and therefore more economical, while at the same time standardizing the connections for the flow and return.
  • the connection of the horizontal and vertical pipes according to the invention by means of cross-hole pressure welding not only results in a further simplification of production, but also a very secure connection which can also withstand high pressures.
  • the radiator according to the invention can be varied as desired, and yet is particularly economical and economical to manufacture and assemble.
  • the pipe bends of at least one of the horizontal pipes can have a larger bending radius than the pipe bends of the remaining pipes.
  • the pipe center piece running between the pipe elbows is spatially in front of the pipe center pieces of the other horizontal pipes, so that it can be used in particular for hanging objects to be dried.
  • several horizontally extending tubes can also be designed in this way.
  • the vertical tubes can be connected to one another by a panel-like covering which at least partially covers the space between the tubes.
  • a panel-like covering which at least partially covers the space between the tubes.
  • a cladding which is preferably also made of metal, increases the heat exchanger area heated by heat conduction from the heating medium.
  • the connections and valves of the radiator can be covered with such a covering.
  • this panel-like cladding represents a further element for the optical variation of the radiator according to the invention.
  • a further embodiment of the invention proposes to arrange at least one electric heating device in at least one of the vertical tubes.
  • Such an additional electrical heating device makes it possible either to supply the radiator with additional heat or to operate it electrically, preferably in the transition period, independently of the central heating system.
  • the radiator shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises two vertical pipes 1 and 2, spaced parallel to one another. While the lower end of the pipe 1 can be connected to a fixed flow, the lower end of the pipe 2 is connected to a return, which is also installed in a fixed position, whereby the distance between the flow and return is fixed by the manufacturer and can no longer be changed and can be taken into account on site when laying the pipes.
  • the two perpendicular tubes 1 and 2 are connected to each other by a plurality of horizontal, also connected to each other parallel tubes 3. These horizontal tubes 3 are C-shaped.
  • Each pipe 3 consists of two end pieces 3a, two pipe bends 3b adjoining the end pieces 3a and a pipe middle piece 3c connecting the pipe bends 3b. These tubes 3 are preferably produced in one piece by appropriately bending a tube piece.
  • the horizontally extending tubes 3 are connected to the vertically extending tubes 1 and 2, so that the inside of the tubes 1, 2 and 3 is connected to one another.
  • the heating medium flowing in via the feed line, not shown can enter the pipe 1, be distributed over the horizontally extending pipes 3 and then enter the vertical pipe 2 again, from which it is returned to the heating system via the return line, also not shown .
  • the lower ends of the pipes 1 and 2 are provided with corresponding fittings or fittings which have been omitted from the drawing for the sake of better illustration.
  • the total length L of the horizontally running, C-shaped pipes can 3 can be changed. This is shown in FIG. 2 using an exemplary embodiment. While a radiator according to FIG. 1 is drawn with solid lines, it is indicated with dashed lines that the length L of the pipes can be increased to the length L1 if both the pipe center piece 3c connecting the two pipe bends 3b and the end pieces 3a are made longer . With the same Distance between the vertical tubes 1 and 2 and a constant number of the horizontal tubes 3 used in total results in a correspondingly increased heat exchange surface for the radiator shown in dashed lines in FIG.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 the end pieces 3a of the horizontal pipes 3 are connected to the rear of the vertical pipes 1 and 2. This makes it possible to make this connection by means of cross-hole pressure welding, which can be produced particularly easily and with high reliability.
  • Figure 4 shows that the end pieces 3a can of course also be connected to the front of the tubes 1 and 2 and that it can be advantageous to cover the lower part of the vertically extending tubes 1 and 2 containing the connections by a covering 4 which is simply placed on the vertical tubes 1 and 2.
  • the vertical tubes 1 and 2 are provided over their entire length with a panel-like covering 5, which in turn is placed on the front of the tubes 1 and 2 and optionally welded to them or connected in some other suitable way.
  • This panel-like covering 5 increases the surface participating in the heat exchange. Since the casing 5 is heated by heat conduction, not only an optical change of the radiator, but an increase in its heat output is possible in this way.
  • FIGS. 5 to 8 show four further design options for radiators according to the invention.
  • the difference between the radiators according to FIGS. 5 and 6 is the length of the horizontal pipes 3; in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 7, a total of three groups of pipes 3 of the same length are arranged, which are at different distances from one another.
  • FIG. 8 shows an embodiment with two groups of horizontal tubes 3. While the tubes 3 are of the same length within one group, the length of the tubes 3 in the two groups is different.
  • FIGS. 9 to 12 also show other possible embodiments.
  • the radiator according to Figure 9 has the largest possible heat exchange area; 10 uses tubes 3 with three different tube lengths which are arranged at a constant distance from one another.
  • FIGS. 11 and 12 show that the pipes 3 can not only be designed in groups with different lengths, from which it can also be seen that the use of pipes 3 of different lengths can greatly change the appearance of the radiators.
  • FIGS. 13 and 14 another exemplary embodiment is shown in FIGS. 13 and 14.
  • the pipe bends 3b of one of the horizontal pipes 3 are designed with a larger bending radius than the pipe bends 3b of the remaining pipes 3.
  • the pipe center piece 3c of this pipe 3 lies spatially in front of the pipe center pieces 3c of the other pipes 3. It is hereby particularly suitable for hanging laundry items to dry on this projecting pipe center piece 3c. It is particularly clear from the top view in FIG. 14 that one of the pipe center pieces 3c lies in front of the plane in which the other pipe center pieces 3c are located.
