Abstract

The toilet seat has a toilet rim (1) and a toilet lid (8) which, for the purposes of cleaning, can be separated from one another and from a bidet (42) which is accommodated in a hollow shoulder of the toilet rim (1) with simple movements and without tools. On the toilet seat (1), flank portions (38,39) are formed, which are hinged on the housing (17) of the bidet with bearing journals (12,13) formed on the inside. In these flank portions there are also actuating mechanisms (34,31) which act in conjunction with a spring-loaded tongue (25) or a disc (21) of the bidet (42) to operate a pressure switch (27) or a valve (28). The housing (17) of the bidet (42) is largely closed and protected against splashing even when the toilet rim is removed. <IMAGE>
