Definitions

  • the invention relates to a residual current circuit breaker according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a residual current circuit breaker is already known (DE-PS 23 55 306).
  • the total current transformer and parts of the test device are arranged in a movable carrier part, which is also equipped with movable contact pieces of the contact set.
  • the summation current transformer and the carrier part with the contact pieces thus form a prefabricated unit which enables the residual current circuit breaker to be easily assembled.
  • the design of the movable support part only permits a limited number of switch variants, since the dimensions required for the switch housing would be difficult or impossible to maintain. In any case, this would involve considerable additional effort.
  • the invention is based on the object of developing a residual current circuit breaker for a switch family which, from two-pole residual current circuit breakers in the range from 16 to 40 A to four-pole residual current circuit breakers in the range from 40 to 125 A, covers the entire protection range with a back-up fuse of 100 A at rated currents up to 100 A. and a back-up fuse of 125 A at rated currents up to 125 A and a switching capacity of 10 kA.
  • a four-pole residual current circuit breaker is shown as a base switch for the switch family.
  • the associated switch housing consists of a lower part 1 with a base plate 2 and an upper part 3 .
  • An intermediate plate 4 which is arranged parallel to the base plate 2 , leads to a division of the interior of the housing into two chambers.
  • one chamber is formed by the base plate 2 and the intermediate plate 4 and partitions 5 and 6 .
  • the other chamber is created in the space between the upper part 3 and the intermediate plate 4 .
  • Niches for access terminals 7 and outgoing terminals 8 are provided in the housing.
  • In the chamber in the lower part 1 there is an extinguishing device 9 , a contact set 10 and a switching drum 11 .
  • a key switch 12 is located in the upper part 3 of the housing and can only be seen in FIG. 3. Furthermore, a summation current transformer 13 , a tripping device 14 , a test device 15 , consisting of a test button and test resistor arrangement, and a contact position display device 16 are also used in the upper part.
  • FIG. 4 shows the basic switch of the switch family, namely a four-pole residual current circuit breaker with a module width of 4M for 63 A.
  • the version for 40 A is a residual current circuit breaker with a module width of 3M according to FIG. 5.
  • the variant for 100 A is a residual current circuit breaker with a module width of 4M and according to FIG. 7 for 125 A a residual current circuit breaker with a module width of 5M .
  • Figures 5 to 7 four-pole residual current circuit breakers are taken into account.
  • Two variants are shown for the two-pole residual current circuit breakers. According to FIG. 8, this is a residual current circuit breaker for 80 A with a module width of 3M and for 40 A a residual current circuit breaker with a module width of 2M , as shown in FIG. 9.
  • a uniform cap dimension A is provided for all switches in the switch family.
