- a downwardly projecting pin 35 is mounted so that it can be moved vertically. This is held by the cartridge in the lower end position shown when the cartridge is correctly inserted. This position is transferred to a mechanism, not shown, built into the handle of the discharge device, which prevents the plunger from being driven as long as a cartridge is not correctly inserted (see EP-A-0 331 942).
- the cartridge 20 it is the lower cylinder 22 which holds the pin 35 in the lower position.
- a rib 25 is formed on the smaller cylinder 22a at the bottom, which extends as far down as the cylinder 22.
- the rib 25 should be present at least in the area of the pin 35, may but also extend over the entire length of the cylinder 22a.
