the present invention relates generally to a device for fixing a lock in a wall and more particularly the fixing of a disengageable rotor lock in a door element, in particular a door handle of a motor vehicle.
It also relates to a vehicle door as well as a lock intended to be fixed in said door.
Document EP-A-0 221 375 discloses an example of fixing a lock in a door wall which does not use such means. However, it requires the constitution of the lock in two parts located on either side of the wall and therefore the presence of a compressible seal to ensure a seal between the different parts.

the latch 10 comprises in particular a rotor 12 journalling in a sleeve or intermediate stator 13, said intermediate stator being able to journal in a fixed body or housing 14.

the rotor 12 is moreover integral in rotation with a slide 15 intended to drive a bolt 16 to control the lock associated with the latch 10.
FIGS. 3 to 5 illustrate the body or housing 14 of the lock 10.
Said body 14 has the general shape of a cylindrical tube 17 closed by a bottom 18 in which is formed an opening 19 intended for the passage of the slide 15.
the fixing device comprises, formed in one piece, means for locking in rotation and in translation of the lock 10.
the translational locking means consist of two pins 20, 21 of generally parallelepiped shape.
the pins 20, 21 formed integrally with the body 14 on the outer wall of the tube 17, are diametrically opposite and have an identical axial position.
the means for locking in rotation consist of two elastic tongues 22,23 formed integrally with the body 14. These two tongues 22,23 are in the general form of a circular sector respectively 24.25 concentric with the outer wall of the tube 14 and are integral with the body 14 only over a small angular portion so as to give them elasticity.
the two tongues 22, 23 are diametrically opposite and are inclined radially by an angle A with respect to the axis 26 of the body 14, symmetrically with respect to said axis 26 as seen in particular in FIG. 5.
FIGS. 6 and 7 illustrate the arrangement of a door handle 11 in which the lock 10 is to be mounted.
the door handle 11 comprises a wall 27 extended inwards by a cylindrical chimney 28 and in a manner known per se a circular opening 29 concentric with the chimney 28 and extended inwards by a cylindrical wall 30.
This circular opening 29 is intended for the passage of the key (not shown) which has to actuate the latch 10.
the chimney 28 also comprises two open circumferential housings 34, 35 opening respectively into the openings 31, 32 and ending angularly by walls respectively 36, 37 (FIG. 7).
said ramps 38, 39 have a radial arrangement identical to that of the tongues 22, 23 of the body 14 of the latch 10.
the ramps 38, 39 therefore have a start respectively 41.42 which is at the same level as the internal face 33 of the chimney 28 and an inlet respectively 43.44 which is raised relative to said internal face 33.
the mounting of the latch 10 in the door handle 11 is carried out as follows.
the bolt 10 being fully equipped is presented in the direction of arrow F in FIG. 6 so that the pins 20, 21 of the body 21 penetrate into the openings 31, 32 of the chimney 28.
the movement of the bolt 10 in the direction of the arrow F takes place until the tube 17 of the body 14 abuts against the internal face of the wall 27 of the door handle 11.
the tongue 23 is in the position shown in dotted lines, that is to say that it is in abutment against the ramp 38. It is the same for the tongue 22 which is pressed against the ramp 39.
the assembly of the bolt 10 is then rotated clockwise. This operation has the effect of penetrate the studs 20,21 in the circumferential housings 34,35, these then constituting with said studs 20,21 a bayonet type mounting.
the pins 20, 21 constitute the means for blocking in translation the lock 10.
the tongue 23 moves in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 2 and its circular sector 24 deforms elastically to follow the inclination of the ramp.
