Definitions

  • the invention is concerned with improving the stability of loudspeaker membranes for cone loudspeakers.
  • These speakers usually have a - multi-part - magnetic pot on the bottom a conical speaker basket with the end, which has the smaller diameter.
  • a conical membrane is also arranged in the loudspeaker basket. This membrane is connected to the end, which has the larger diameter, to the end of the speaker cage, which has the larger diameter.
  • the connection is usually taken over by a bead made of elastic material attached to the membrane and the speaker cage.
  • a tubular piece is attached, which is wrapped with the voice coil.
  • This tubular arrangement hereinafter referred to only as a voice coil bobbin - protrudes into the magnetic pot and at the same time surrounds the free end of the pole core arranged at the bottom of the magnetic pot.
  • At least one centering membrane is arranged between the voice coil bobbin and the loudspeaker basket and holds the voice coil bobbin centrally in the magnet pot in every operating state of the loudspeaker.
  • the end of the membrane which has the smaller diameter, can be covered with a dust protection cap on the side facing away from the magnetic pot.
  • the material from which the diaphragm is usually made for cone loudspeakers is so-called and widely known cone paper. To reduce natural vibrations, this material can have admixtures of long-fiber materials and / or plastic coatings. Membranes made entirely of plastic are also known in cone loudspeakers.
  • reinforcement rings can be provided on the inner surface of the diaphragm, for example, to improve the torsional stiffness or to reduce the natural vibrations (see also "Funkschau", supra). Although the latter measure improves the rigidity of the membrane, the attachment of reinforcing rings is generally considered disadvantageous by the person skilled in the art. This is because the requirement for the loudspeaker diaphragm is to keep the mass of the vibrating components as low as possible.
  • a loudspeaker in which the conical membrane, which has the larger of the two diameters, is provided with a circumferential collar at its end.
  • this document is concerned with suppressing the swinging of semicircular beads and improving the dimensional stability of such beads.
  • a circular bead filled with air So that a stable connection between the conical membrane and the tubular bead can be produced, ie a merely tangential connection between the membrane and the circumference of the tubular bead is avoided, the circumferential collar of the membrane is used as a fastening edge.
  • the bead is semicircular and is connected to the membrane so that the collar of the membrane cantilever partially covers the curvature of the bead and the collar of the membrane and the curvature of the bead have a mutual distance.
  • an imaginary straight line through the two base points P of the circular arc includes an angle ⁇ of less than 180 ° with the outer contour of the membrane.
  • the membrane and the collar are formed as a one-piece component according to claim 4, this has the advantage that a separate connection of the membrane and the collar can be omitted.
  • the one-piece compared to the multi-piece design of the membrane including the collar is associated with a further weight saving.
  • FIG. 1 shows a cone loudspeaker 10.
  • the magnetic pot 11 of the cone loudspeaker 10 is essentially formed by a permanent magnet 12 in the form of a ring.
  • One circular surface of the permanent magnet 12 is provided with a disk-shaped pole plate 13 which closes the inner diameter of the permanent magnet 12.
  • the other annular surface of the permanent magnet 12 is provided with an annular pole plate 14, the inner diameter of this pole plate 14 being reduced compared to the inner diameter of the permanent magnet 12.
  • a circular pole core 16 is placed on the bottom 15 of the pole plate 13 centered on the inner lateral surfaces of the permanent magnet 12 and the further pole plate 14 and at a distance from them.
  • a cone-shaped loudspeaker basket 17 adjoins the surface of the pole plate 14, which faces away from the permanent magnet 12, the end of the loudspeaker basket 17, which has the smaller diameter, being connected to the pole plate 14.
  • a conical membrane 18 is inserted into the loudspeaker basket 17.
  • the ends of the membrane 18 and the loudspeaker basket 17, which each have the larger diameter, are continuously connected to one another by an intermediate bead 19 which is glued to the membrane 18 and the loudspeaker basket 17.
  • the transition area from the membrane 18 to the bead 19 is illustrated in more detail in FIG. 2. As this figure reveals, not only the membrane 18 and the bead 19 overlap in the adhesive area 20, but the membrane 18 is extended to below the curvature 21 of the bead 19.
  • the depth t, with which the collar 22 subjects the curvature 21 of the bead 19, is 2/3 of the clear width b of the curvature 21 of the bead 19.
  • the collar 22 does not necessarily have to have an only angled end region 23. Rather, in another exemplary embodiment (not shown), the collar 22 can connect directly at the point at an angle to the jacket contour of the membrane 18 at which the curvature 21 of the bead 19 extends in an arc shape in the direction of the loudspeaker basket 17 following the adhesive region 20.
  • the tubular voice coil former 24 is attached at the end with the smaller diameter of the conical membrane 18, as shown in FIG. 1, the tubular voice coil former 24 is attached.
  • the free end of the voice coil bobbin 24 dips with part of its overall length into the air gap 25 of the magnetic pot 11.
  • the voice coil former 24 is held on the pole core 16 by means of a centering membrane 26 arranged between it and the loudspeaker basket 17, centered on the central axis of the cone loudspeaker 10.
  • the end of the membrane with the smaller diameter is covered on the side facing away from the voice coil bobbin 24 with a dust protection cap 27.
  • FIG. 3 illustrates a type of configuration of the collar 22 which is modified compared to FIG. 2.
  • the end region 23 of the collar 22 has a contour adapted to the curvature 21 of the bead 19.
  • a straight line - through the two base points P of the arcuate end region 23 - encloses an angle ⁇ of 135 ° with the outer contour of the membrane 18. Due to the arcuate configuration of the end area 23, which is adapted to the curvature 21 of the bead 19, damage to the bead 19 by the collar 22 is excluded even under extreme movements of the membrane 18.
