Abstract

The invention relates to a hydraulic press for the manufacture of pressed articles from pulverulent masses, in particular metal powders, with a valve-controlled, double-acting hydraulic cylinder/piston system. According to the invention, the cylinder chambers (4 and 5 or 5a and 5b respectively) associated with the piston part surfaces (A1 and A2 or A2a and A2b respectively) acting in the direction of pressing are both arranged outside the pistons (12, 12a, 12b, 13) of the cylinder/piston system and all pistons are rigidly coupled to the press ram (11) in the direction of movement thereof. <IMAGE>
