Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a climbing shoe for mountaineers with a shaft which consists of a first soft, elastic upper part which lies closely against the foot and an elastic lower part which is firmly connected to the upper part and substantially corresponds to the tread, and with an interchangeable sole attached to the lower part second elastic material, which has an elastic edge part made of the same second material, which encloses a large part of the upper part and is connected to it in a press fit.
  • All climbing shoes currently available on the market consist of an elastic upper part that adapts to the shape of the foot and a lower part that is generally glued and has a lower elasticity that is firmly bonded to this upper part and extends over the entire tread, which is mostly made of natural rubber.
  • this rubber sole is subject to severe abrasion when climbing rock faces, so that in some cases such climbing shoes are used up after climbing a rock face for the first time, i.e. must be replaced by new climbing shoes.
  • the climbing shoes however, have a purchase price in the order of several hundred marks; mountain athletes also find it annoying to have to take several pairs of climbing shoes to wear used shoes, i.e. to be able to replace those with punctured or worn parts at any time.
  • DE-GM 83 27 686 describes an overshoe sole made of elastic material, such as plastic or rubber, which is pulled with tension over the sole of the shoe to be protected and which consists of the actual sole and aids for fastening the same, the sole being a circumferential one Has edge approximately at the level of the sole of the shoe, which is provided in the area of the instep with a reinforcement, which can also be designed as a grip tab.
  • the sole is elastically extensible in the longitudinal direction, while the surface facing the shoe sole can be provided with depressions or is waffle-shaped.
  • European patent application 298 721 describes a shoe which is composed of two parts, the inner part being in the form of a slipper, which can be surrounded by the second part in the form of an overshoe sole, which is accordingly adapted to the shape of the slipper and is provided with suitable holding devices, for example push buttons, so that the assembly of the two parts Shoes are particularly suitable for activities outside the home, while the inner slipper is only intended for indoor activities.
  • the DE-GM 18 56 901 relates to an overshoe, which is intended in particular for slabs and parquet flooring and which consists of a rubber or plastic sheath to be pulled over the front part of the actual shoe and which has approximately the same shape and which has at least one fastening strap is provided to detachably attach the case to the foot.
  • the tip of the cover can be reinforced, as can the sides of the cover; this prevents premature wear of the normal work shoes, which occurs particularly when the front part of the normal work shoe is subjected to excessive stress when working on the floor.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a climbing shoe for mountaineering, with which not only the outsole can be adapted to the climbing conditions (smooth, hard, rough or soft rock), but also in a few easy steps with a similar new sole can be replaced if the old sole has been climbed through, so that it no longer guarantees sufficient hold in the rock; At the same time, the costs for climbing equipment are to be reduced and the safety of the climber, in particular on steep walls, is to be increased.
  • the climbing shoe according to the invention has the advantage, on the one hand, that the entire shoe no longer has to be replaced if the outsole is worn out, but only the actual wearing part, namely that with the rock, i.e. with the partly sharp-edged stone in contact with the sole, which is connected to the upper part of the upper in a clamped fit. It is not only possible to remove a used sole with a few quick steps and replace it with a new sole, but also to replace a sole for a specific climbing section with a differently profiled sole for another climbing section, namely during the ascent or Descent to achieve optimal security. At the same time, the cost of the equipment can be significantly reduced because the replaceable rubber soles cost only a fraction of what a complete climbing shoe requires.
  • Fig. 1 denotes a soft, elastic, tight-fitting upper part, e.g. Made of cotton, leather or a suitable plastic and clings closely to the shape of the foot.
  • 3 is also an elastic, essentially corresponding to the tread lower part, which is firmly connected to the upper part and in particular is glued or sewn to it and consists of the same elastic material.
  • the entry opening of the upper part 2 is designated by 4 and a soft tab below the lacing 5 is designated by 1.
  • FIG. 3 now shows a replaceable sole 8 made of a likewise elastic material, advantageously rubber, which is provided with an elastic edge part 7 made of the same material, which is firmly connected to the elastic sole 8 and extends at an angle from the sole in such a way that the edge part 7 when assembled with the shaft shown in FIG. 1, a large part of the upper part 2 encloses and is connected to it with appropriate dimensions in the clamp.
  • the replaceable sole 8 covers only the front portion of the lower part 3, ie the portion of the greatest load when climbing. 9 therefore denotes a cutout in the additional replaceable sole; Now you touch the additional interchangeable sole 8 with its edge part 7 over the shaft shown in Fig.
  • the seat of the already tensioned raised and form-fitting edge part 7 can be improved in the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 by a groove in the upper part 2 10 is provided, in which a correspondingly adapted bead 11 on the inside of the edge part 7 engages after the covering of this edge part on the upper part 2. It is just as well possible that instead of the groove 10 in the upper part 2, a bead is provided, over which a correspondingly elastic edge region is then drawn at the location of the bead 11 in the edge part 7 in a press fit.
  • the upper consisting of upper part 2 and lower part 3 is provided with a replaceable sole 8 with a rib profile, which is also held again by means of an overstriped edge part 7 seated in the press fit on upper part 2.
  • the sole 8 in this embodiment like the one according to Figs. 4 and 5, completely covers the lower part 3, i.e. also the heel area.
  • the lower part of the shaft can also be provided with projections which engage in adapted recesses in the sole.
  • 8 to 10 show additional holding devices for the tight connection of the edge part 7 for the interchangeable sole 8 with the upper part 2; 8 this is done by an eyelet which is firmly connected to a rubber ring and through which the shoe strap 5 can be threaded; in Fig. 9 the additional holding device consists of a clamp closure 13 and in Fig. 10 from an elastic band, e.g. a rubber band.
