- Flow restrictor The invention relates to a flow restrictor, especially for the outlet of sanitary water fittings; Water is getting more and more expensive. This is due to the increasing waste and pollution, which means that local authorities have to build ever more complex sewage treatment plants. Saving water is therefore advisable. Apart from changing your own behavior, water consumption in sanitary engineering, e.g. can be reduced by additional valves, which are known as flow restrictors and for shut-off and are easy to attach to the tapping points. Also known are special designs of aerators as flow restrictors.
