- the springs 22, 23 are similar to the spring shown in FIG. 3. They each have two U-shaped legs 24, 27 that are prestressed in the inserted state and bear against the side surfaces 18 to 21 of the slots 16, 17.
- Each leg 24, 26 is extended and contains a pit 28, 29, which ends with a curve 30, 31.
- the pressure plate 32 to be assembled is first pressed into the slot 17 of the forme cylinder 15 with its leading fold. It comes between the side surface 20 and the elongated leg 26 to lie and is stretched by the latter. Then the pressure plate 32 is wound around the forme cylinder 15 and the trailing edge 34 is pressed into the slot 16.
- the spring 22 advantageously has a guide tongue 35 which reliably guides the fold 34 between the side surface 18 and the leg 24. The latter then tensions the trailing bend 34 as a result of its pretension.
- the winding of the pressure plate around the forme cylinder and the pressing of its trailing bevel can advantageously take place when the forme cylinder is rotated with the transfer cylinder or another roller on the forme cylinder. For the sake of simplicity, further configurations, which may be analogous to the previous exemplary embodiment, will not be discussed.
- the forme cylinder has a slot or a pair of slots for tensioning a printing plate. Also belonging to the scope of protection of the patent, several slots or pairs of slots for tensioning a corresponding number of printing plates can be arranged uniformly distributed on the circumference of the forme cylinder.
