Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé pour le blanchiment de pâte au sulfate sans utiliser d'agents de blanchiment contenant du chlore. La pâte au sulfate est soumise à une délignification à l'oxygène et elle peut éventuellement aussi être soumise à une délignification à l'ozone jusqu'à présenter un indice kappa inférieur à 9,5. On effectue ensuite un prétraitement avec un agent complexant pendant 1 à 16 minutes, pendant lequel la consistance de la pâte se situe entre 1 et 15 %, la température entre 70 et 110 °C et le pH entre 5 et 7. La pâte ainsi prétraitée est ensuite lavée et égouttée jusqu'à présenter une consistance de 18 à 40 %. Un blanchiment au peroxyde en milieu alcalin a lieu ensuite en présence du silicate ou d'un agent complexant organique du type acide phosphonique ou carboxylique.
