Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for exactly separating a main stack from an auxiliary stack in continuous deliveries of sheet-processing printing machines. The object on which the invention is based is to develop a solution which guarantees the exact separation of the main and auxiliary stacks and which prevents sheets from slipping back in the direction of the sheet ascent during the depositing operation. Furthermore, spearing actions caused by holding-up devices are to be avoided. This is achieved by means of a corresponding method and in that the carrier 22 and a crossbar 21 are articulated vertically movably, for example by means of cranks 14, on a crossmember 10 fastened to the sheet brake 9. Lower stops 12 and wedges 13 are arranged in the direction of the stack on the carrier 22, and mountings 17 for rear sheet holding-up devices 16 are provided on the side of the carrier 22 facing away from the stack. The sheet holding-up devices 16 pivot inwards in the stack region when a stack board 2 is pushed in. <IMAGE>
