Definitions
- the invention relates to a nozzle for a tub, in particular Whirlpool tub, according to the in the preamble of Features specified claim 1.
- DE-U-89 01 137 describes such a nozzle with an insert body known, its cross holes and outflow openings open into an annulus.
- the outflow openings are from covered with a membrane tube, which is essentially one surrounds cylindrical part of the insert body, being by Sealing grooves in the insert body the sealing by means of Membrane hose should be improved.
- a cover part of the Insert body overlaps a flange of the nozzle body, with radially directed outflow channels limited by cams become.
- the resulting radial outflow of the Air is disadvantageous insofar as an immediate inflow of a user lying in the tub is only possible to a limited extent and a powerful one to achieve a good massage effect Pump with high air flow is required.
- the whole Cross-section of the outflow channels mentioned is comparative large and an axial movement of the insert element the nozzle body hardly leads to any noticeable change the outflow speed or even an increase the same. Furthermore, the condition on the top the existing cam and the one arranged above it Cover part a not inconsiderable height above the Tub inner surface, so that the arrangement of such Nozzle especially in the area of the tub floor, for is quite a hindrance to a user.
- a nozzle for installation in a hole in a bathtub is out known from DE-C-37 20 637.
- the insert body contains one the flange of the nozzle body in turn overlapping cover part and due to the high overall height this is Nozzle arranged in a recess in the inner surface of the tub, which increases the manufacturing effort.
- the insert element contains radial breakthroughs out of these outflowing medium is essentially 90 ° upwards is redirected to radially after redirection outside to outlet openings between the cover and the To flow the flange of the nozzle body radially outward. Of the such a predetermined flow path causes turbulence and Pressure drops, so that a correspondingly high pump output is required for the outflowing medium.
- GB-A-311 161 is a nozzle for dispensing of liquid known to this as a finely divided film or spray, for example as a paint application, on a base to apply.
- a nozzle for dispensing of liquid known to this as a finely divided film or spray for example as a paint application
- This for a different purpose than for Tub-provided nozzle contains a cylindrical block with a number of spirally arranged recesses for swirling the liquid, the outlet openings of said recesses in an axial end face of the called blocks are arranged.
- the manufacture of the swirl the liquid provided spirally arranged Recesses requires a lot of effort.
- the Turbulence causes a considerable loss of pressure and the arrangement of radial openings in the insert body and a radial outflow of the medium from the insert body can not.
- EP-A-284 661 discloses a nozzle whose nozzle body is one on the inside of the tub, suitably via a seal, has overlying flange.
- the nozzle body is in the appropriate Drilling, in particular of the tub floor, used, so an external thread of the nozzle body protrudes from the Underside of the tub bottom out and there is done with a union nut the attachment.
- the nozzle body has a connection for air, which from a connected pipe system into the interior of the tub can be pumped.
- an insert element which is provided by the Inserted inside the tub in the nozzle body and via a threaded connection is screwed into the nozzle body.
- the insert element is in essentially cylindrical and has an external thread in its outer surface for the mentioned thread connection. Furthermore, this insert element continuous longitudinal grooves on its outer surface over its entire length on. If air is supplied through the pipe system, it flows through the mentioned longitudinal grooves in the tub interior. Through the cross section of the called longitudinal grooves, the inflowing amount of air is predetermined and a Changing or regulating the air volume is not easily possible.
- the cylindrical one Nozzle body in turn has a flange, which is installed Condition rests on the inner surface of the tub floor.
- the nut screwed onto the nozzle body is the nozzle body on the tub base attached.
- the inside of the nozzle body has an axially continuous bore, through which air is pumped into the tub from the connected pipe system can be.
- the one from the inside of the tub into the nozzle body insertable nozzle head has an annular rim on the inside, which overlaps the flange of the nozzle body.
- the flange and also the Nozzle head with the edge mentioned have reasons of strength and Stability on a corresponding wall thickness, with the result that the Surface of the nozzle head to a considerable extent over the inner surface the tub protrudes.
- such nozzle bodies are regular about 5-8 mm above the inner surface of the tub floor and are so an obstacle to a user.
- the Insert element is also essentially cylindrical, wherein however, parts of the thread have been removed over the entire length. Between the worn flat areas and the internal thread of the nozzle body there is a comparatively narrow gap parallel to the longitudinal axis which the air supplied to the nozzle body flows into the interior of the tub can.
- the gap width and thus the passage cross section is comparative small and cannot be changed.
- EP-A-270 858 is an outlet nozzle for the outlet valve a whirlpool tub with a channel for water supply and one Air supply channel known.
- an outer plate-shaped distribution body and an inner distribution body, which by means of ribs are connected to each other there is a circular outlet channel, in the interior of said distribution body the outlet channel into individual radial outlet channels is divided.
- the distance between the two distribution bodies is defined and a change in through the outlet channel in The amount of water flowing out in the radial direction is not possible.
- the inner distribution body and the tub bottom with the air supply duct There is a related gap, the width of which cannot be changed is.
- the invention is based on the object of the nozzle mentioned type with little effort to further develop that Inflow of air or water is reliably made possible, the inflow amount can be changed without difficulty and the construction volume can be small should. Flow losses, pressure drop due to deflection or the like should remain as low as possible so that there is a good inflow into the tub is guaranteed without a high pressure output of the pump of the air control system or the like is required.
- the nozzle is said to have compact dimensions have and require little manufacturing and assembly costs. After all, the cleaning of the nozzle should be easy and special tools or aids can be carried out.
- the nozzle according to the invention is characterized by a simple and reliable function Construction from and can be produced without special manufacturing effort become.
- the nozzle In the area of the inner tub surface, the nozzle has only a very small one Height up.
- the nozzle body has a conically opening for the interior of the tub Inner surface on.
- the insert element also has a conical outer surface on, but the opening angle is larger than that by a predetermined amount Opening angle of the inner surface of the nozzle body.
- the conical inner surface of the Nozzle body on the one hand and the conical outer surface of the insert element on the other hand are coordinated in such a way that according to the screwing depth the width of the gap through which the medium flows out, can be specified.
- the conical outer surface of the insert element ends in Area of an annular groove.
- the insert element At the ring groove to the lower end of the insert element the insert element then has one opposite the bottom of the annular groove larger outer diameter, with the outer thread on the outer surface is provided for screwing into the nozzle body. Finally points the insert element has an axial blind bore beginning at its lower end in which radially starting from said ring groove substantially aligned holes open. There are a number of such in the area of the annular groove radially directed holes are provided, between which only comparatively there are small bridges. The air flowing in from below can thus without significant deflections from the blind hole through the mentioned Radial holes in the annular gap and finally in the interior of the tub stream.
- the insert element screwed into the nozzle body can, if necessary easily removed from the nozzle body for cleaning become.
- the inside of the Nozzle body easily accessible and the insert element can then without special difficulties to be cleaned.
- To make the nozzle are no elaborate machinery or tools required, and overall only a few processing steps for producing the nozzle body on the one hand and the insert element on the other hand required.
- FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the nozzle, which has a nozzle body 2 and an insert element 4 contains.
- the nozzle body essentially faces it cylindrical outer surface has an external thread 6 and at its upper end a flange 8.
- the nozzle body 2 can be in a known manner in a recess or bore of a tub floor 10, which is here is indicated by dash-dotted lines.
- a seal not shown and one on the external thread 6 from the underside of the tub bottom screwed nut takes place in a known manner, the definition of the nozzle body 2 on the tub floor.
- the floor nozzle according to the invention only protrudes in the Height 12, which corresponds essentially to the height of the flange, over the Inner surface 14 of the tub.
- the surface 16 of the flange 8 is in expediently conical in such a way that the height at the outer edge is lower than at the radially inner edge 18 of the outlet opening 20.
- An inner surface 22 of the outlet opening runs from said edge 18 conical inwards, with a first opening angle 24.
- the Nozzle body contains a through hole 26 through which the into the Tub to be conveyed medium, in particular air or water, can be supplied.
- At the lower end 28 of the nozzle body 2 can be suitable connecting means for Connection of the floor nozzle to a line system provided for the medium mentioned become.
- the through hole 26 contains an internal thread 30, in which the insert element 4 can be screwed in with its external thread 32.
- the first opening angle 24 is expediently in the range between 40 and 100 degrees, preferably between 60 and 80 degrees.
- the conical inner surface 22 extends from the internal thread 30 to the edge 18.
- the insert element 2 has at its upper end one inside the tub lying and essentially flat surface 34.
- the insert element 4 has an outer diameter 36 which is at most the same or is smaller than the inner diameter 38 of the by a predetermined amount Nozzle body 2 or the conical inner surface 22 on said edge 18.
- the insert element on its has an outer surface 40, which is also conical with a second opening angle 42 is formed.
- This second opening angle is 42 larger than the first opening angle 24 of the nozzle body 2.
- the two opening angles 24 and 42 are coordinated in such a way that accordingly the screwing depth of the insert element 4 into the nozzle body 2 is the gap width the outlet opening 20 can be predetermined.
- the second opening angle 42 lies in the order of 60 to 120, preferably between 80 and 100 Degrees.
- the second opening angle is 42 of the insert element 4 is substantially 90 degrees while the first opening angle of the nozzle body 2 is essentially 70 degrees. So there is an angle difference of approx. 20 degrees.
- an annular gap 44 which is in the direction tapers to the edge 18 or the outlet opening 20, which makes it particularly favorable flow conditions arise and the medium supplied Pressure according to arrows 46 from the annular outlet opening 20 in the Inside the tub flows.
- the gap width of the outlet opening 20 is variable and for this purpose, only the insert element 4 in the nozzle body 2 or more screwed in less deeply.
- the inner surface 22 and the opposite one Outer surface 40 formed as conical surfaces.
- the invention also lies in configurations in which the mentioned surfaces are spherically curved, for example.
- the gap width of the outlet opening 20 can be changed by moving the insert element 4 with respect to the nozzle body 2 is. If the insert element 4 is completely in the nozzle body 2 such screwed in that the gap width of the outlet opening 20 approaches zero the nozzle is practically closed and the supplied medium will flow out hindered.
- the insert element 4, based on the illustrated Position slightly further upward from the nozzle body in the direction of the longitudinal axis 48 2 unscrewed, the gap width of the outlet opening 20 becomes larger and the medium can flow out more easily.
- Fig. 2 shows in an axial section the insert element 4, which is inside has a blind bore 50 aligned with the longitudinal axis 48.
- the blind hole begins at the bottom 52 of the insert element and ends in a predetermined one Distance in front of the surface 34. Furthermore, is essentially coaxial to the Longitudinal axis 48 a groove or an annular groove 54 is provided, which in the axial Direction seen between the conical outer surface 40 and the external thread 32 is arranged.
- recesses which in particular as radial Bores 56 are formed, the connection between the blind hole 54 and the outer region of the insert element 4.
- the preferred conical outer surface 40 ends in the annular groove 54.
- the outer diameter 36 in the area of the surface 34 is substantially larger than the outer diameter 58 of the external thread 32.
- the depth of the annular groove 54, measured from the outer diameter 58, is expediently greater than the wall thickness 60 of the Insert element 4 in the area of the external thread 58. It is thus achieved that the insert element 4 in the region of the annular groove 54 or the one present there radial recesses a much smaller thickness 62 than that Has wall thickness 60.
- the thickness 62 is expediently only half as large like the wall thickness 60. This dimensioning ensures that the Inner nozzle in the region of the recesses or radial bores 56 has a favorable flow for the medium, which is largely unhindered can flow from the blind bore 50 to the outlet opening. From the for the reasons mentioned, the diameter of the bores 56 is essentially same size as the axial length 64 of the bottom of the annular groove 54.
- Fig. 3 shows a section along line A of FIG. 2, the behind the Part of the insert element lying on the drawing plane with the external thread of simplicity is not shown for the sake of it.
- FIG. 4 shows insert element 4 in viewing direction B according to FIG. 2 the flat surface 34.
- Three additional bores 68 are provided, which is a direct connection from the inside of the insert element 4 Form a blind hole in the interior of the tub.
