Claims (4)

  1. Couvercle embouti en matériau plat, comprenant une surface principale et une bordure se rattachant à la périphérie de celle-ci, sensiblement perpendiculaire à la surface principale et entourant l'ouverture du couvercle, qui présente sur sa face intérieure une saillie annulaire formée par le rabattement de la bordure et destinée à s'engager sous une bourrelet marginal extérieur du récipient, caractérisé en ce que la salle annulaire (2) intérieure prend la forme d'un rouleau (5), qui est disposé à distance du bord d'ouverture de la bordure, et le diamètre intérieur (D2) de la bordure (9), dans une région distante du rouleau et s'étendant jusqu'au bord d'ouverture, est au moins égal au diamètre extérieur (D1) de sa partie (10) située plus près de la surface principale (11).
  2. Couvercle selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le rouleau est collé ou soudé à la bordure.
  3. Couvercle selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le rouleau (5) se rattache directement à une partie de bordure (12) dont la section est orientée vers l'extérieur à partir du rouleau, et qui s'appuie, dans la direction de la surface principale (11) du couvercle, contre un gradin de la couche extérieure de la bordure.
  4. Procédé de fabrication d'un couvercle en matériau plat pouvant être thermosoudé, tel que du papier, dans lequel une bande située au bord d'une pièce découpée est emboutie pour former une bordure et l'extrémité de la bordure est rabattue afin de former une salle annulaire intérieure, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte les étapes suivantes consistant à :
    - former un rouleau qui soit orienté vers l'intérieur, sur le côté de la bordure ;
    - amener le rouleau dans la partie médiane intérieure de la bordure pour former un rebord allongé ;
    - comprimer le rebord allongé dans une région distante du rouleau et s'étendant jusqu'au bord de l'ouverture, puis l'étirer jusqu'à obtenir un diamètre intérieur plus grand que le diamètre extérieur de la bordure ;
    - comprimer le rouleau dans le sens axial et/ou radial sous l'action de la pression et de la chaleur puis le calibrer éventuellement, et ensuite le souder sur au moins une partie de bordure contigüe.
