the housing is formed by bonding or force engagement of two identical half-shells, the engaging surfaces of which include a tenon and a mortise opposite one another with respect to the median axis of penetration of the card.
Such a structure requires a significant thickness of the side walls of the housing, and does not allow relative engagement of the tenons and mortises over a significant depth.
this structure does not allow snap-fastening, and the size of a mortise is too small for it to be possible to economically produce by molding removable internal snap-fastening means.

the tenons comprise, on their outer face, snap-fitting ribs or grooves 22, cooperating with corresponding snap-fitting grooves or ribs 23 on the inner faces of the corresponding half-mortises.
snap ribs 23 are provided on the inside faces of the half mortises, and snap grooves 22 are provided on the outside faces of the studs.
the snap grooves and ribs 22 and 23 have a linear longitudinal profile and a transverse trapezoidal profile. This improves the latching behavior, and reduces the wear resulting from successive latching and dismantling operations.
tenons and half-mortises makes it possible to provide, in the mold used for making the half-shells, a series of ejectors distributed around the periphery and bearing exclusively on the end edges of the tenons and on the bottom flanges half mortises.
