Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a mixer for double discharge cartridges according to the generic term of Claim 1.
  • Such mixers are previously known, for example from EP-B-0 121 342, and have the task the two components that are discharged from the discharge cartridges are to be mixed intimately in order to prepare them in this way to be able to apply.
  • the two storage cylinders of the discharge cartridge are approximate have the same volume and also approximately that have the same discharge openings, mixing no major problems from the start more.
  • the storage cylinders are significantly different Volumes - which is synonymous with different Cross-sections is because the storage cylinders are manufacturing and have the same length for operational reasons - and outlet openings have, for example in a ratio of 10: 1, there is a risk that the component from the larger Storage cylinder at the beginning of the discharge the mixer coil group of the mixer and thus the second Component with lower volume suppressed or overwhelmed becomes.
  • the second component is generally the Hardener (catalyst) acts and a component mixture is not usable with too little hardener, it is for stabilization of the partial streams in the desired proportioning usual to squeeze a certain amount of useless first before started with the actual application of the mixture can be. Aside from the loss of component mass, you can do not harden and discharge these discharged substances Lead to problems in disposal.
  • EP-A-0 584 428 (application 24.08.92; date of publication 02.03.94) proposed a solution to this problem by making the first, larger component initially pent up in a chamber will and means are available to this first component into the entrance chamber of the second component manage and carry this.
  • this version is a Improvement over the state of the art known at the time brought, this solution requires a greater flow resistance due to several cross-sectional reductions required. This increased flow resistance can Require reinforcement of the cartridge walls and requires higher forces when discharging.
  • a discharge device is known from EP-A-0 472 448, in which the outlets of the discharge device or Cartridge housing are arranged so that the larger Component that flows around the smaller one and takes it along.
  • the device is intended to work with or without a mixer. If If no mixer is used, the two components come already in the cartridge or in the discharge device and hardened mass leads to that after changing the cartridge of the outlet area needs to be cleaned before can continue to work. When using a Mixing takes place there and after replacement the mixer can be cleaned without cleaning the outlet area Cartridge, or the discharge device to be continued.
  • the mixer coil group is constructed in such a way that the two components Mix well along the mixer to the discharge end.
  • Cross-sectional ratios of the supply cylinders to the Mass with the larger volume the mass with the smaller Volume especially in the initial phase, i.e. when refilling of the mixing tube, suppressed or overwhelmed, so that no prescribed mixing ratio can arise.
  • the mixing ratio of the partial flows stabilizes to a predetermined value.
  • Figures 1 and 1a show the perspective view Input part 2 and the upper part of the mixing coil group 1 with Coils 9, 9a, and Figure 3 shows the entrance of the mixer housing 3.
  • the in the mixer housing 3 matching input part 2 has one Alignment and guide bar 6 on the corresponding Guide groove 7 in the mixer housing 3 fits and also the Partial stream B leads.
  • the input part shows two alignment parts 4 and 5 have with the output of the cartridge or dispenser interact or the mixer housing can one Have cutout 25, with a corresponding cam interacts on the cartridge or on the discharge device.
  • the smaller component B comes from the cartridge outlet, or discharge device in channel 11, while the larger Component A the rest of the available volume of the front end.
  • the formation and location of the canal causes component A to start at the first Spiral 9 completely encapsulates component B.
  • the roof-shaped web 10, at where the first spiral begins, right in the middle of the channel 11 is arranged for the smaller component B and this split the partial flow A and partial flow B in half.
  • the Cover flange 8 corresponds to the inside width of the mixer tube 13 and can optionally have a sealing bead. Below the cover flange, on the entrance the A component is diametrically opposite side an inclined baffle 12 is arranged, the jam of Any air or gas present is prevented and thus good ventilation and avoidance of in bulk trapped air bubbles guaranteed.
  • 3-6 shows a second embodiment variant, where the channel for the smaller component B is completely enclosed. Since this is also one Mixer for a double cartridge with side by side Supply cylinders, the exit of B is due to the Cartridge and the entrance to the mixer for the smaller component B not in the middle, but on the side. For one optimal wrapping of component B by component A it is particularly advantageous to have component B in the middle of the mixer pipe.
  • Fig. 3 you can see the input part in a perspective view 14 with the subsequent mixing coil group 15.
  • the input part is on the B side with a cover flange 16 completed, an opening 17 for the smaller one Component B has, while the larger component A flows into the input part next to the cover flange 16.
  • the mixer to the cartridge becomes the cartridge outlet 22 sealingly pressed against the cover flange 16.
  • the wall 18 is arranged perpendicular to the cover flange 16 and serves to center and stabilize the input part in the Mixer housing. This version is also below the Cover flange 16 and on the entry of the A component diametrically opposite side an oblique guide surface 12 arranged to achieve good ventilation.
  • the channel 19 for the smaller partial stream B is different to channel 11 of the previous version on all sides closed.
  • Channel 19 is, see also FIG. 4, in relation to FIG the longitudinal axis of the mixer is arranged obliquely and opens into the middle of the mixer tube.
  • the roof-shaped web 20 of the first Spiral 21 which divides the partial stream B in half, and so on a good prerequisite for proper mixing create.
  • the first mixer element does not have to have a web 10 or 20 and it does not have to be roof-shaped.
  • the mixer housing 3B is a variant of the mixer housing 2 and is attached to the cartridge housing or can be attached to the discharge device via a bayonet connection and has a guide groove 7B, see Fig. 5, in which the wall 18 lying on the A side fits.
  • the bayonet flange has a recess 26 that the alignment the mixer on the cartridge or on the discharge device serves.
  • FIG 4 is a cutaway view of the mixer housing 3B, in which the outlet 22 with the two Outputs 23 and 24 of the double cartridge or the discharge device is drawn. In the two cuts of the 5 and 6 it can be seen that the channel 19 in the center of the mixer tube 13B is guided.
  • the mixer according to the invention ensures efficient and optimal mixing process. With this arrangement possible slight phase shifts or Pulsations between components A and B caused through various influences such as B. different Elasticity of the two cartridge cylinders, due to the hereby improved compensation or backmixing effect of the static mixer largely balanced. It is of course, make sure that the cross sections of the partial flows are proportioned in such a way that guarantees is that both sub-streams are the first spiral at the same time to reach.
