Definitions
- the invention relates to a vandalism protection layer, especially a vandalism protection layer for vehicle seats, Vehicle roofs, tarpaulins, tents, air halls, Wall coverings and similar objects prone to vandalism with a cover layer that can be cut open.
- DE-A 37 02 639 suggests a fine-mesh metal fabric between the seat cover outer fabric and the To attach seat body-forming foam.
- a similar Solving problems is proposed in GB-A 2 204 235.
- Knitted fabrics made of wire or metal fibers are used in DE-U 90 04 625 and EP-A 190 064.
- a protective layer DE-A 37 11 419 describes metal rings.
- Vandalism protective layers are usually under the actual seat cover arranged as they only on this Place without noticing the user and the malicious person, can achieve their protective effect.
- Such fabrics made of metal wires and metal fibers are proportionate because of their low flexibility difficult to process, especially not when bridging flat surfaces, what in the manufacture of vehicle seats to a great extent, additional cutting or cutting operations that negatively affect production costs impact are required.
- a protective layer in the form of a knitted fabric is also used DE-A 42 08 600 described.
- the fiber material is preferred a mixture of preoxidized polyacrylonitrile fibers and Aramid fibers.
- the Cut resistance of such a protective layer is not sufficient.
- Such a construction fulfills the Requirements for a vandalism-proof material are not there they are not sufficient because of the inflexible wires Protection against stabbing with a knife. To the others affect the processability of a cover fabric the stranded wire deteriorates. And finally it is such a seat cover only with a high cost producible.
- a fire protection layer made of elastic, flame retardant Fiber material with the use of a wire which can also be a cut protection layer, is proposed in DE-C 35 45 071.
- a wire used in a woven or knitted fabric with none Teaching about the type of wire, the structure of the fabric and the fiber material is given.
- the shared use of wire alone is not enough to achieve sufficient To maintain cut resistance and, above all, to to avoid the risk of injury from the wire.
- elastic yarns of any type of raw material can be provided with such an embodiment a vandalism protective layer is not necessary Cutting resistance can be achieved. Also applies to the vandalism protection layer proposed here as well for other suggestions on the use of wire that the Stepping out of the wire cannot be avoided sufficiently can.
- An anti-vandalism fabric especially for Convertible tops, but also for other people at risk of vandalism Objects are suitable, is proposed in DE-A 42 15 662. It consists of a composite of at least two layers, at least one of the layers of yarn Aramid fibers that can be pushed together with little force should contain.
- top fabric for foldable vehicle tops with an outer fabric made of coated polyester fabric and a reinforcement layer in the form of a mesh or Thread laid from, for example, glass, carbon or DE-U 92 06 365 describes metal fibers.
- the task was to provide a vandalism protection layer to provide through the disadvantages of the previous proposed constructions and materials such as unsatisfactory workability, low stitch and Resistance to cuts, risk of injury etc. are eliminated can and also an inexpensive manufacture and processing enabled.
- a vandalism protection layer which is flame retardant or non-flammable, to meet the demands of operators of public Transport based on the flame-retardant properties of the vandalism protection layer to be able to do justice.
- the vandalism protection layer according to the invention consists of a knitwear that is at least partially made of cut-resistant Fibers like aramid fibers, after the gel spinning process spun polyethylene fibers or glass fibers has been.
- a wire is included in at least one thread system of this knitwear. This wire is there at least one protruding from the level of the knitted fabric Thread system, so from the level of the knitted fabric protrudes that when the vandalism protective layer is later glued this sticking preferred over this Thread system takes place.
- Aramid fibers are particularly well suited as cut-resistant textile fibers for the production of vandalism protective layers. These fibers, which are often referred to as aromatic polyamide fibers, are commercially available under brand names such as Twaron R.
- Twaron R a major advantage of aramid fibers
- Another major advantage of aramid fibers is their low flammability, so that special use of flame retardants is not necessary when using this type of fiber. The demand for low flammability is raised above all for vehicle seats for public transport.
- aramid fibers also have very high strengths.
- polyolefin fibers can also, especially polyethylene fibers produced by the gel spinning process, for the manufacture of the vandalism protective layer Find.
- polyethylene fibers produced by the gel spinning process for the manufacture of the vandalism protective layer Find.
- these unlike aramid fibers, these not the advantage of low flammability and are thus in areas of application such as vehicle seats for public Transportation in which this property is required becomes unusable.
- glass fibers which, like aramid fibers, with regard to the Incombustibility can provide good conditions for Production of the anti-vandalism layer according to the invention Find use.
- Aramid fibers polyethylene fibers spun using the gel spinning process or glass fibers can be in the vandalism protection layer either alone, as mixtures of these fibers or as blends with other fibers.
- the sole use of one is preferred Cut resistant fiber as a textile component in the Vandalism protection layer.
- the titer of the yarn used for the production of the invention Vandalism protective layer should be used, are in the range between 420 and 8 500 dtex.
- P refers a range between 1,000 and 5,000 dtex, particularly preferably a range between 1,500 and 3 500 dtex.
- the filament titer of these yarns is said to are below 5 dtex, a titer range between is preferred 0.5 and 3 dtex.
- a knitted fabric preferably a warp knitted fabric, particularly preferably a knitted fabric made on Raschel or crochet gallon machines, which are usually referred to as Raschelware or crochet gallonware, is used for the production of the anti-vandalism protective layer according to the invention.
- the weight per unit area of this product can be between 100 and 2,000 g / m 2 .
- Sufficient cut resistance can no longer be achieved below 100 g / m 2 .
- a range between 200 and 1,000 g / m 2 is preferred, a range between 200 and 600 g / m 2 is particularly preferred.
- the cut resistance required for public transport can generally be achieved well in a range from 300 to 400 g / m 2 .
- the range from 300 to 400 g / m 2 can shift up or down, depending on the type of yarn used. Higher ranges of 500 - 700 g / m 2 and especially 700 - 1 000 g / m 2 can significantly improve the cut resistance, but they are not always feasible for economic reasons.
- mesh density there are values between 1 / cm and 20 / cm proved to be favorable.
- An area is preferred from 2 / cm to 5 / cm, in which the desired cut resistance can be achieved.
- the wire used in the vandalism protection layer can be used as a solid wire, as a wire thread or wire thread Come into play.
- the diameter of this wire should be between 0.1 and 2.0 mm, an area is preferred between 0.2 and 0.6 mm.
- the weight percentage of the wire in the knitted fabric depends on a number of factors. So a relatively small one Share are used when two or more vandalism protective layers can be used on top of each other. A higher one On the other hand, a share is required if, for example, the knitted fabric not made from cut-resistant fibers alone is, but mixtures of cut-resistant with cut-resistant fibers are used. Therefore, the Weight fraction of the wire in the anti-vandalism layer according to the invention are in the range of 10-90%. A range of 20-60% is preferred.
- the wire should have a wave or spiral shape. In the With a view to better processability, it becomes a waveform prefers. This waveform makes three main ones Benefits achieved.
- the cut resistance is one by shared use anti-vandalism protective layer much better than when using a smooth wire.
- the better cut resistance of the corrugated wire-made goods is mostly so explainable that a corrugated wire in the vandalism protection layer takes up a larger area than a smooth wire.
- stabbing a knife and before especially when trying to cut this through the With a wavy wire pulling goods is the probability that the knife hits the wire and can no longer be moved, much larger than with a smooth wire.
- the advantage of the corrugated wire makes itself felt in a very special way when the knitwear made from blends of cut resistant with no cut-resistant fibers is produced.
- Another advantage is that of a wavy wire compared to a smooth wire less risk of Working out of the vandalism protection layer and causing injury.
- Conditionally by its shape is the probability that the wire due to the mechanical stresses when using the seat is pushed up through the outer fabric and out this protrudes significantly less than a smooth one uncrimped wire.
- the third advantage is when using a corrugated Wire a greater flexibility of the knitted fabric produced and thus better processability too call.
- the vandalism protection layer according to the invention wire to be used with a sheath Textile fibers covered. There are opportunities for this spinning, wrapping or twisting the wire on. These methods are known to the person skilled in the art. Especially is preferred for the production of the vandalism protective layer according to the invention a meshed wire is used.
- the wire is inserted into a mesh structure for meshing and covered with additional stitches, so that there is a knitted fabric as the sheath of the wire forms.
- Yarns of any fiber materials can be used to knit around the wire Find use.
- a cut resistant Fiber such as an aramid fiber
- the use of an aramid fiber is particularly preferred.
- the for the manufacture of the anti-vandalism layer according to the invention wire to be used can be a sheath of a contain easily meltable polymers.
- a contain easily meltable polymers that can be used as hot melt adhesives suitable.
- Examples of such polymers are ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, Copolyamides, copolyesters, polyisobutylene and polyvinyl butyrals.
- a wire equipped with hot melt adhesive is preferred in the laying system specially provided for bonding of knitted fabrics.
- the invention Vandalism protective layer can thus both with Hot melt adhesive wire as well as wire that itself does not contain a hot melt adhesive jacket.
- the invention is not based on the use of wire containing hot melt adhesive. This is how gluing can be done with other layers in a conventional way by applying adhesive. However, this is it important that at least the thread system that out of the plane the knitted fabric protrudes, contains a wire and that The bonding is preferably carried out via this thread system.
- the short rail laid stitch threads for example from yarn Aramid fibers
- weft threads made from aramid fibers.
- Another option is to work with three figure rails and a yarn for the first of these figure rails Aramid fibers as well as for the second figure rail to create a knitted wire.
- a third figure rail is used another knitted wire placed over the stitch threads.
- a preferred construction of the knitwear is in each case the one who put the wire in the long thread contains, because only in this way a good cut resistance can be achieved.
- Fig. 1 shows an example of a crochet gallonware with a by means of a figured rail, laying a knitted Wire. Via the aramid yarns using a short rail Laying 1 is generated by means of a first figure rail a figure 2 made of aramid yarn and above by a another figure rail a figure 3 from one with aramid yarns wire mesh.
- FIG 2 shows a further example in which the layer 4 produced by means of a short rail again from aramid yarns is formed.
- the generated by means of figure rails Figure 5 and 6 also consist of aramid yarns.
- Fig. 3 is an example with two wire-containing layers shown.
- the generated by two more figure rails Figures 10 and 11 contain the one with aramid yarns meshed wire.
- adhesive is to be applied on both sides, for example also for those formed by short rails Laying a knitted wire can be used.
- the vandalism protection layer according to the invention is found especially used in vehicle seats for public transport.
- An outer fabric is placed over this protective layer. Every type of known vehicle seat cover is suitable for this suitable.
- the outer fabric to choose should be fitted with flame retardant equipment or from a fiber with spun in flame retardant have been produced. It is particularly suitable as an outer fabric a pile fabric.
- the knife is only in the one below horizontal vandalism protective layer inhibited.
- a short tear in the outer fabric can occur.
- a pile fabric or pile fabric as Outer fabric is possible by partial folding of the pile when the seat is used again Crack is covered and is therefore not easily recognizable.
- Knitwear which is a protruding from the level of knitwear Has thread layer, which is preferred when applying the adhesive the agent intended for the adhesive applied is, can without additional effort to Example when applying the adhesive with the help of a roller, linear bonding can be achieved.
- Thread layer contains a wire, so the bond preferably on the wire-containing thread system.
- the wire-containing areas achieves a better adhesive effect than in the non-wire areas.
- Construction of the knitted fabric also at one line-shaped bonding sufficient.
- the line-shaped On the other hand, bonding offers the advantage of a good one Separability when, for example, a repair of the Vehicle seat, for example replacing the outer fabric, becomes necessary.
- the vehicle seat is under the vandalism protection layer usually from an upholstery foam.
- the one for this Foam to be used is preferably polyurethane foam.
- the application of the anti-vandalism layer according to the invention but should not be on vehicle seats for public Transportation is limited. There are numerous for this further areas of application possible. Examples are vehicle tarpaulins, Vehicle sunroofs and convertible tops, wall linings such as baffles, tents and air halls called. This list is intended as an example and should not be understood as restrictive.
- the invention Vandalism protective layer can be used advantageously everywhere there, where there is a risk that mostly textile fabrics or plastics Vandalism or theft intentions is cut open.
- the invention is also not intended to be based on the use of only a vandalism protection layer in the above and others similar articles remain limited. In the same Wise can also have two or more vandalism protective layers Find use.
- the vandalism protection layer described can, however, as Protective layer also in articles that are not at risk of vandalism are used. So can the invention Vandalism protective layer, which is preferred Aramid fibers is produced, particularly advantageous in Use splinter protection walls, for example at airports. Because of the very good antiballistic properties the aromatic polyamide fibers forms the invention Vandalism protection layer also a good one Protection against splinters. Here it is useful to have several Layers of the vandalism protective layer.
- the vandalism protective layer according to the invention provides effective protection against slicing.
- the vandalism protection layer according to the invention offers a number of other advantages such as minor Risk of injury when breaking the wire inserts and good ones
- the vandalism protection layer can be separated from the neighboring layer for possible repair work with good Gluing with the adjacent layers.
- public Transportation is still using aramid fibers or glass fibers the low flammability of the vandalism protective layer a special advantage.
- a knitted fabric was made on a crochet gallon machine of the construction shown in FIG. 1. For this found for the laying created by short rail Aramid filament yarn with a titer of 840 dtex. A figure was laid using a first figure rail from an aramid filament yarn with a titer of 1,680 dtex brought in. This was done using a second figure rail made with a knitted wire. The wire had a diameter of 0.3 mm and was with an aramid filament yarn with a titer of 840 dtex, meshed.
- a knitted fabric with a basis weight of 286 g / m 2 was obtained.
- the cutting test was carried out once with a pocket knife and the other with a double-edged dagger. In both cases it was possible to stab the material, but the cutter could not be pulled any further.
- the knitted fabric thus produced was placed in a vehicle seat experimentally processed as a vandalism protection layer, a punctiform gluing of the vandalism protection layer with the outer fabric. This was confirmed here that when trying to cut the vandalism protection layer determined result. Piercing was possible, that Messer could not be moved on. The one in the outer fabric created, relatively small damage as well as the bond between the vandalism protection layer and outer fabric offered no way by hand to grasp under the outer fabric and thereby further damage trigger the vehicle seat.
