Definitions
- the invention relates to a ski boot with a foot shell with sole and toe cap at least in the instep area and a shaft surrounding the leg, the shell and toe cap formed in one piece from plastic and are pivotally connected to each other by the sole, a essentially attached to the toe cap, the ski boot recess penetrating in its entire width in the Shell is provided covering the swivel range of the toe cap limited, and on the toe cap a protruding over the edge of the cap Connects cover that engages under the recess and when swiveling the toe cap under the instep area the shell is slidable.
- a ski boot should on the one hand in connection with the ski form a substantially rigid unit, the toe cap held in the stretched position and the shaft in a template position are, on the other hand, a rolling of the Sole may be possible.
- a toe cap which is pivotable relative to the shell.
- PCT WO 92/19117 describes a sports shoe according to the preamble of Claim 1 known, which comprises a pivotable toe cap which for Purposes of a relative mobility to the shell with a distance in Form a gap-like recess articulated on the sole on the shell is.
- This recess is on both sides through bridges a cover that goes underneath when walking Shell pushes.
- the essential, middle part of the recess is covered by a deformable insert. This is at Swiveling in the toe cap compresses and expands Reaching the stretched position.
- the deformable material such as Foam rubber
- Foam rubber is caused by cold, damp and constant Shape change is very stressed, so that in particular at the connection points to the toe cap on the one hand and to Shell on the other hand cracks and subsequently sealing problems can result.
- An actuator in the Shell blocks the toe cap when skiing. Over a linkage can this blocking by means of a heel Pusher done by a binding element, such as the automatic heel unit.
- a ski boot is also known from AT-PS 356 541, the is molded in one piece and has an inner stiffening insert disposes.
- the stiffening insert is in the sole area arranged and consists of two parts, which are connected by a hinge are interconnected.
- This ski boot has one elasticity in the toe area depending on the specific structure. An individual toe cap is just for the stiffening insert noticeable.
- DE-A1-24 44 066 is a forefoot heel cup for Ski boots described, one of which is the toe-ball area receiving partial shell by one compared to the remaining shell or pivotable and lockable transverse axis located near the sole is, the facing each other, outside the Subdivision edges of the partial shell and of the sole The remaining shell overlap each other. At least in one Area of the free end edge under the shell Cover and the boundary of the recess delimiting the Shells are provided facing each other.
- a ski boot is known from AT-B-379 731, one holding the foot and one holding the leg, formed as a shaft upper part, which Parts are connected by a bellows, the Stiffness of the bellows in the area of its front by inserting a stiffening element between the folds the bellows is changeable.
- the stiffening element is trained in the manner of a rack, whose teeth in the stretched Position of the bellows between the preferably with a trapezoidal Intervene cross folds.
- the invention aims at a ski boot with a movable toe cap Improve seal against the shell.
- a ski boot type mentioned achieved by that in at least one area of the Shell underneath the free end edge of the cover and the recess bounding edges of the shell with opposing strips Undercuts are provided that form-fit in the extended position of the sole interlock and that the cover, in the longitudinal section of the ski boot seen, is domed and has a curvature that of the Longitudinal median plane starting in parallel planes on both sides with increasing distance decreases, the radius of curvature preferably about at a distance from the cover to the pivot axis of the sole, in particular for imaginary connection of the sole-side ends of the recess, corresponds.
- the Cover doesn't just place the toe cap below the gap in the Recess, which is the space that forms the pivoting, but it is in addition to the arch shape curved in the manner of a ball joint.
- the area is like a strip of an ellipsoid.
- the surfaces lie with every movement close together.
- the radius of curvature increases with distance from the Longitudinal center plane of the ski boot. The disappears on the side parts Entire radius of curvature.
- the stretched position of the sole is that when skiing occurs. In this important position, the strips interlock like a claw. If the Undercuts are U-shaped and the complementary strips are the same Have protrusions, then wedge surfaces run against each other and self-centering takes place. Furthermore, a very good seal can be achieved in the stretched position.
- the interlocking elements further cause that the sole does not have the horizontal plane can be stretched out.
- the result is a End stop with the largest permissible recess or gap width.
- the shell and toe cap are in the stretched position due to the positive connection the interlocking undercuts rigidly coupled together.
- the toe cap especially in its longitudinal center by one vertical axis adjustable rotary latch is provided, the to fix the toe cap in the extended position of the sole engages over the recess and with an end face the shell supports and to release the pivotability of the Toe cap can be rotated out of the area of the recess.
- the rotary latch can have the shape of an eccentric, which is rotatably mounted on the shell or cap side and the recess for the position fixing of the cap in the extended position. A constant thickness is particularly well suited for this purpose.
- One hidden and protected from the outside arranged construction for toe cap fixing or Approval is characterized in that on the cover, especially on the cover in the middle of the ski boot cantilevered tongue, a contact surface and this opposite a control surface one in the shell across Are provided along the longitudinal axis of the ski shoe led bar, that the control surface in the direction of displacement of the bolt preferably has two sections that are graded to each other lie and merge into each other through a slope, the a section when running onto the contact surface of the toe cap locked in the position of their extended position and the other Section in the extent of the freedom of movement of the toe cap is set back.
- a Degree of freedom of the toe cap available, limited availability or prevented.
- the latch can have a handle, but in advantageously also by means of a Bowden cable, against spring force be slidable in the heel area of the shell is guided to an operating lever, the latter preferably also a spring-loaded locking pin for locking controls the shell and shaft.
- the toe cap fixation in the stretch is useful when skiing.
- the template position by fixing the shaft in the inclined position opposite the tray for the descent significant. This can be done with the one control lever be achieved by the Bowden cable and the sprung controls self-engaging pin.
- a practical addition results from the fact that the rotary bolt or bolt on his Top side position identifiers, e.g.
- the section of the latch that holds the toe cap in the Stretch position fixed is designed as an inclined surface, the when running onto the contact surface of the toe cap, for example by the force of the spring, a preload the toe cap transmits, the hook-shaped undercuts the strips are pressed together.
- the Bowden cable on that End of the bolt is connected or hung, which one the portion set back to unlock the toe cap initially lies, the bolt with its bevels and with the adjoining section when the Bowden cable pulls runs onto the contact surface of the toe cap and the Press the toe cap into the stretched position.
- the Bowden cable can also connected or suspended at that end of the bolt be the one who set back to unlock the toe cap Section lies away, the latch with its Sloping and with the adjoining section when relaxed Bowden cable under the effect of a relaxing

- a sole 4 is part the shell 1 and merges into the toe cap 2.
- shell 1, sole 4 and toe cap 2 molded in one piece from plastic.
- a recess 5 is provided, which allows pivoting of the toe cap 2.
- Fig. 2 shows the formation of the recess in view.
- the sole 4 can in the area of the imaginary connection between the ends the recess 5 have a groove that defines a Represents axis of rotation for the toe cap 2. In many cases the elasticity of the plastic is sufficient for bending Sole 4 even without special constructive measures.
- the Recess 5 engages and when pivoting the toe cap 2, for example when walking, under the instep area of the Shell 1 pushes.
- the outer surface of the cover 6 domed.
- an arc with a radius equal to the distance corresponds to the (imaginary) axis of rotation of the toe cap 2.
- opposed strips 7, 8 are provided. Wear this hook-like undercuts with overlapping Sloping surfaces (wedge surfaces), so that in the extended position of the Sole 4 (Fig. 1) gives a positive, tight connection.
- the spherically curved surface slides the cover 6 when bending the toe cap 2 - on the bar 8 adjacent - under the instep area of the shell 1.
- the contact area the bar 8 can on the curvature of the surface the cover 6 must be coordinated.
- the strips 7, 8 with their positive connections end in the transition area between the shell top and the shell side surfaces, but you can also go to that Be drawn down end of the recess 5.
- the toe cap 2 contributes according to FIGS. 2 and 2a to fix their position in the sole extended position is a cantilever from the cover 5 Tongue 9, which under the instep area of the shell 1, if necessary is guided into a channel of the shell 1.
- This tongue 9 makes the movements of the toe cap 2 as largely linear Movement with.
- On its end face is a contact surface on the tongue 9 educated.
- Cross to the direction of movement of the tongue 9 is a bolt 10 in the shell 1 or in a bolt housing performed, which is arranged in the shell 1 stationary.
- the latch 10 laterally carries two mutually graduated Control surfaces 11, 12 into one another by a slope 13 pass over.
- the control surface 11 is immediately on the contact surface of the tongue 9 and prevented any movement of the toe cap 2.
- the latch 10 is shifted so that - as shown in dashed lines in Fig. 2a -
- the set-back control surface 12 of the bolt 10 is at a distance from the contact surface of the tongue 9, then the Toe cap 2 can be swiveled until the set back stop comes into effect.
- the bolt 9 can also be designed in this way be that he only over the inclined surface 13 and the Control surface 11 has, so that the tongue 9 either from the bolt 10 is blocked or with the bolt 10 retracted Free space is available.
- the sloping surface 13 of the bolt 10 serves to lock the toe cap 2 in during the locking process to bring the extended position of the sole 4.
- Fig. 2 shows the displacement of the bolt 10 by one Bowden cable 14.
- the latch 10 is in by a spring 15 the shown locked position of the toe cap 2 is pressed and can be withdrawn against the action of the spring 15.
- the Bowden cable 14 can be swiveled into a bracket 16 Actuating lever 17 hooked. Will train on the Bowden cable 14 exerted by the operating lever 17, then the latch 10 reaches its release position. The repatriation get the spring 15 as soon as the pulling effect ceases.
- Below the actuating lever 17 is 18 on the same axis a cover tongue 19 attached. This protects and conceals with the operating lever 17 pivoted up, the suspension point of the Bowden cable 14 in the bracket 16.
- the operating lever 17 another locking pin 20 in and out of engagement brought with shell 1 or shaft 3. If the operating lever 17 is mounted on the shell 1, then the locking pin engages 20 in a bore of the shaft 3, so that its position (Template for skiing) can be fixed. If the operating lever 17 is mounted on the shaft 3, then the locking pin 20 engages in a hole in the shell 1. In each Case 1 and shaft 3 are locked. This lock of the shaft 3 in the template position goes hand in hand Hand with the toe cap 2 in the extended position the sole 4.
- FIG. 3 and 3a show the ten-cap lock according to 2 and 2a in section.
- the tongue 9 is on the Surface 11 of the bolt 10 on and can not move. A Overstretching is not possible because of the hook-like undercuts the strips 7, 8 interlock.
- the Control surface 11 is formed as an inclined surface 11 ′′, it exercises under the action of the spring 15 pressure on the tongue 9, so that the hook-like undercut strips 7, 8 under tension interlock. This supports the sealing effect the cover 5 opposite the shell 1 in the area of Last 7, 8, to which just when skiing, e.g. in powder snow, very high demands are made.

- a U-shaped Bracket 24 is articulated on the actuating lever 22, on which the Bowden cable 14 starts.
- the swiveled up position of the Actuating lever 22 exerts a tensile force on bolt 10 which arrives against the spring force in the position shown in FIG. 3.
- the pivoted, dashed position of the operating lever 22 lets the spring of the bolt 10 come into effect, so that the situation according to Fig. 3a results.
- the actuating lever 22 is in the region of the axis of rotation Eccentrically formed and presses a spring-loaded locking pin 25 against the ski boot.
- the locking pin 25 snaps into the bore 26 of the shell 1 as soon as the bore 26 with the locking pin axis flees.
- This is in the template of the Shaft 3 compared to the shell 1 the case. 1 is also a rotary latch 30 on the toe cap 2 shown in dashed lines, about an axis of rotation 30 'in the Recess is rotatable into it and with its end face on the shell 1 in the area of the bar 8 for fixing the position can support the toe cap 2.
- This particularly simple one Execution is advisable if only the toe cap 2 should be released and fixed, but an operating lever for the shaft fixation is not available.
- FIGS. 2, 2a and 3, 3a are FIGS. 2, 2a and 3, 3a similar, with the Bowden cable 14 as an alternative, the latch 10 ', when the actuating lever 22' is flipped over from that in FIG. 4 position shown down, in the locked position of the Toe cap 2 pulls.
- 2a was by pulling the Bowden cable 14 unlocks the toe cap 2 and essentially caused by the force of the spring 15, the locking.
- 4 has the toe cap 2 transverse to the tongue 9 slidably guided latch 10 'two sections 11' and 12 ' on, which merge into each other by a slope 13 '.
- 4 and 4a show the unlocking position, in which the bolt 10 'also its section 12 'opposite the tongue 9 and a range of motion the toe cap 2 releases.
- 4a shows the Latch 10 'in relation to the tongue 9 in detail.
- the release position is here between Bowden cable 14 and Actuating lever 22 'shown - but it can also between Bowden cable 14 and bolt 10 'can be provided such that the bolt-side end of the Bowden cable 14 is not fixed to the Bolt 10 'is connected, but when moving the operating lever 22 in its release position a head end of the Bowden cable 14 lifts from a bolt-side driver surface and resigns when the spring force 15 briefly or temporarily against the frictional resistance of the lock should not be sufficient, the bolt 10 'in the release position the toe cap movement.
- the bolt 10 ' which is guided inside the shell 1, is opposite a window 21, which by color markings on Latch 10 'reveals its position.
- Fig. 4a is the locking device as above is described, shown in a flat position again as a detail.
- the bolt 10 ' shows the release position with full lines the toe cap 2, in which the tongue 9 has a freedom of movement in the direction of the arrow up to the stop on the section 12 '.
- the Bowden cable 14 by the operating lever 22 'pulled, then the bolt 10' moves in Fig. 4a right and the slope 13 'presses the toe cap 2 in the Stretch position.
