- the present invention relates to devices for infusions, hereinafter called “infusers”, which find application in the medical field for infusing patients.
- These devices comprise a chamber with two first and second orifices, means for connecting the first orifice to a source of medical fluid, a tubing made of a relatively flexible material, and second means for connecting the second orifice and the tubing, the tubing comprising generally at its other end a catheter, needle or the like so that it can be connected, for example, to a vein of the patient.
- Infusers of the type defined above which are currently on the market are not always satisfactory, since they do not make it possible to perform all the functions which may be required in the care units of hospitals, clinics and other establishments. These functions are for example: their positioning at an altitude higher than that where the patient is, the possibility of being moved over a certain distance at the same time as the patient to whom he is connected, the regulation of the flow of the fluid he contains, and the emission of an alarm when, for example, the chamber containing the fluid to be perfused is almost empty.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to produce an infuser which has a compact structure which is relatively simple to produce, which makes it possible to perform the functions mentioned above and which is easy to use, in particular for nursing staff.

- the fluid source 5 generally consists of a bag or the like which contains a certain quantity of fluid necessary to ensure an infusion for a sufficiently long determined time.

- the angle between the upright and the base is, in the example illustrated, ninety degrees, but this value, although that certainly advantageous, is not necessarily necessary.
- the upright advantageously has a shape which allows it to be easily associated, for example, with a foot comprising rollers such as those used in medical establishments for the transport of infusers when they are connected to a patient.
- the infuser also includes means 13 for fixing the chamber 1 relative to the support 8.
- These means are more particularly adapted so that the longitudinal axis 60 of the chamber is parallel to the upright 9 and advantageously substantially contained in the plane of symmetry of the amount 9 and base 10, and so that the second orifice 3 of the chamber is substantially above this base 10, the tube 6 passing substantially tangentially to the base 10.
- These fixing means 13 are preferably constituted by a clamp 55 pinching simultaneously, between two jaws 56, 57, the chamber 1 and the upright 9, this clamp 55 can be made of a material which has a certain elasticity to allow this pinching.

- the means 21 for mounting the rotary lug 20 on the base 10 are advantageously constituted by a deformable wall 24 secured to a end 25 of lug 20 and second end 12 of base 10 so that the base and the lug are normally substantially parallel and facing each other, being spaced apart by a distance substantially equal to the thickness of the tube 6 when it is not flattened.
- This structure is advantageous because it makes it possible to produce the upright 9, the base 10, the deformable wall 24 and the lug 20 in a unitary piece, the base, the deformable wall and the lug substantially forming a "U" and the means for exerting the elastic force between the base and the tab being in this case constituted by the fact that the unitary part is made of a material having a certain resilience.

- the tab 20 and the base 10 are moved closer or further apart by crushing the tube 6 or allowing it to resume its initial shape.

- the depth of this groove 41 is at most equal to twice the thickness of the wall of the tube 6 so that the tube can be completely crushed and therefore completely closed when the base and the tab are in contact with one another.
