Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for connecting, in particular, a radiator in the center according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • radiators are mainly connected at one end to a pipe system in a house, in particular a one-pipe or two-pipe system with flow and return. It is always the case that due to structural inadequacies, structural changes or certain furnishing requirements, radiators do not have to be arranged at the intended location, with different size dimensions or with other structural measures that deviate from the planning.
  • the common connection systems in addition to valves, flow and return connections etc., also leave something to be desired aesthetically.
  • connection device for connecting a radiator in the center which consists of an extremely compact housing with flow and return connections and a connection to a correspondingly prepared radiator with a central connection.
  • this device for connecting a radiator centrally can avoid a connection section at an edge region of a radiator and also ensure a central connection of a radiator in the middle of a radiator recess, this connection device is extremely bulky and large, so that it is not practical it is possible to hide this connection device sufficiently under or behind the central radiator.
  • connection device In addition, the supply and return flow of this connection device are so close together that, for example in the case of a plate heater with a plate, a partition must also be drawn inside the heating plate in order to ensure that a heat transfer medium which is to be passed through the heating plate does not predominantly passes directly from the flow into the return of the valve, so that the radiator cannot work properly.
  • this structural measure on the radiator is also very complex and cost-intensive.
  • valves, blind plugs and the like must be used in valve seats, the valve seats having to be inserted into the connecting piece of the connection device. This is usually either soldered or a press fit or the like is used.
  • the associated measures are also very complex and costly.
  • the sealing surfaces, connecting threads, etc., which come into operative connection with the respective sections of a valve to be inserted into the valve seat, must be made extremely clean and within small manufacturing tolerances manufactured and arranged. This is also a major disadvantage of known connection devices and in particular also the connection device for a central heating element discussed above.
  • a radiator in particular a radiator, is known from G 89 01 051.5, which is connected centrally to the piping system of a central heating system.
  • the inlet and the return of this radiator begin essentially in the middle and end at the upper and lower lateral ends of the known radiator.
  • the radiator is connected via a pre-assembly box, which serves as an intermediate piece between the connecting lines of the central heating system and the connecting lines of the known radiator with its generic connection.
  • a welding fitting for radiators in heating systems with a two-pipe system is known from G 88 10 080.4, which has a valve, a connecting line and a connecting body.
  • a valve is arranged, which is provided perpendicular to a return connection of the return connection.
  • the latter valve consists of a cylindrical body which is axially adjustable via a thread and which cooperates with a corresponding transverse booking of the return port.
  • this device is designed only for the vertical, one-sided connection of a radiator and cannot be used for the central connection of a radiator.
  • a device according to the preamble of claim 1 is known.
  • this has a housing arranged in the supply and return, which is set up to receive a valve.
  • the housing comprises a plurality of openings through which the heat transfer medium can be introduced into and derived from the heating element.
  • This device for connecting a radiator can also only be connected to the side of the radiator, so that the above statements also apply to this connecting device for radiators.
  • the object of the present invention to propose a device for connecting a radiator, preferably in the center, which does not have the above disadvantages.
  • the device according to the invention should enable a center connection without extensive structural measures on the radiator.
  • a radiator with a connection device for central connection is to be used be proposed, which gives a positive visual impression and is easier to manufacture.
  • a first line section is arranged between the flow of the device and the at least one housing, which extends essentially over approximately half the length of the radiator to which the device can be connected.
  • the heating element can be connected in the middle via the connection device, but the heat transfer medium runs into the heating element at one end thereof, so that there is no risk of a short circuit for the flow of the heat transfer medium. It is not necessary to provide any separating plates in the radiator in order to provide guidance of the heat transfer medium, preferably water or the like, in the radiator.
  • At least one opening can be provided in the housing through which the heat transfer medium can be introduced into the radiator in a controlled manner, for example via a valve provided.
  • the device according to the invention for connecting a radiator has at least one housing arranged in the inflow and / or outflow, the at least one line section being arranged between the flow connection and the housing and the housing at least has an opening through which the heat transfer medium can be introduced, and wherein a further housing is arranged on the return connection, in which, for example a plug, a valve or the like can be used.
  • the return connection also has a housing in which, for example, a plug, a valve or the like can be inserted.
  • a second line section is provided between the return connection and the housing and extends essentially over half the length of the radiator on which the Device is connectable, extends.
  • the heat transfer medium can be introduced at one end of the radiator and led out of the radiator at the other end, so that the heat transfer medium is forcibly passed through the entire radiator and the radiating surfaces of the radiator can be optimally used without modification of the existing one Radiators using any baffles or the like would be required.
  • the first and the second line section are essentially designed in such a way that the device for supply and return connection is essentially symmetrical.
  • a radiator regardless of its size in relation to a wall recess or the like, always centrally or symmetrically in the radiator recess.
  • Naturally Small deviations from the symmetry which should preferably only lie within the manufacturing tolerances, can be accepted.
  • the housings provided on the flow or return should be essentially, preferably completely identical. This gives the very considerable advantage that it is possible to screw in or one valve at a time both on the housing of the flow and on the housing of the return, while, inter alia, one of the housings on its valve seat can also be flanged blind.
  • the supply and return lines are swapped within a new or old building or during renovation work, the supply and / or return lines can be easily interchanged by screwing them together, so that no structural measures are required or the like, without removing the radiator and without changing the fittings, the valve can simply be moved from one housing to the other in order to be able to guarantee a proper central connection of a radiator. Accordingly, a blind plug is shifted from one side to the other.
  • Valve seats with valves can also be provided in both housings.
  • the supply and return connections are arranged on a preferably common plate-like holding device which can be fastened to the radiator and / or to a building wall or to a holder fastened in and / or to a building wall.
  • a connecting device according to the invention can also be attached to the floor of a room or building or, for example, to the window sill of a radiator recess by means of an appropriately designed plate, for example via screw holes etc. be attached.
  • the housings in which a valve or a blind plug or the like can also be fastened, each have at least one, preferably two in each case connecting pieces angled essentially at 90 ° to their respective supply lines, the one connecting piece of a housing preferably in the direction of the connectable radiator is aligned or the two or more connecting pieces of a housing are angled such that they can be connected to the two or more heating plates of a plate heater.
  • a valve seat or a seat for a blind closure or the like can preferably be screwed into the housing.
  • a seat can be used advantageously insofar as the inner surfaces of the housing can often not be manufactured with the required precision in order to be able to provide sealing surfaces and the like which can enter into the desired connection with a valve or the like.
  • a given valve type can be adapted to different housings via different valve seats.
  • the valve seat must have sealing surfaces or grooves for sealing devices such as 0-rings or the like.
  • valve seat is made at least in regions by injection molded sections made of plastic materials.
  • sealing surfaces are predestined for this procedure to be used according to the invention.
  • the valve seat can, for example, also consist exclusively or almost exclusively of molded plastic materials.
  • a mandrel or a tool for spraying is inserted into the housing and cavities are sprayed out.
  • complicated shapes can also be produced, for example undercuts and the like.
  • Spreadable tools are used for such purposes, which are inserted and spread into a corresponding housing of a device according to the present invention. Plastic is injected and after the plastic is at least pre-hardened, the spread tool can be changed in its diameter or in its dimensions so that it can be pulled out of the molded shape or the molded valve seat or the like.
  • the molded surfaces, in particular sealing surfaces and the like are produced from two, in particular several, layers of plastic, the different plastic layers having different properties.
  • a layer of hard plastic or hard PVC or the like could first be injected into a housing of a device according to the present invention, whereupon a soft plastic, a rubber coating or the like could then be applied at least in the areas of the sealing surfaces.
  • An adhesion promoter or an adhesion-promoting intermediate or transition layer could also be provided between the hard plastic and the soft plastic or the rubber-like material in order to improve the adhesion of the two layers to one another.
  • This can also be produced by practically changing from one type of plastic to the other type of plastic, by continuously adding soft plastic to the hard plastic after the completion of a hard plastic layer until finally, almost exclusively or exclusively, only soft plastic is injected on.
  • metal parts can also be injected into the plastic.
  • pre-positioned threaded sleeves or the like which may be arranged on the injection mold, which can preferably be expandable, can be provided, which can be injected directly or via anchoring members into a plastic skin.
  • any fittings can be injected in plastic in order to form a handsome exterior that is resistant to corrosion and the like for the fittings or the device for connection in this way without complicated processing steps.
  • connection devices and the like it is necessary to chromium-plate the outer surfaces and possibly also the inner surfaces in order to be able to ensure an at least somewhat appealing exterior.
  • the chrome plating processes or chrome plating techniques used are so incompatible with the environment and also with regard to the health of the staff that in the foreseeable future it will no longer be possible to chrome-plate fittings, connection fittings and the like, or such Work must be carried out by particularly poorly protected people in developing countries.
