Definitions

  • the present invention relates generally the slipping of an optical lens, i.e. the establishment thereon of a gripping block specific to allow it to be set in rotation on a drive tool during its machining.
  • a gripping block For machining any of the faces of such ophthalmic lens in its final configuration, which it whether it's roughing or whether it's smoothing or its polishing, it is necessary to establish, on the other of the faces of this ophthalmic lens, a gripping block, so that, by the drive tool of a suitable machine for this purpose, it can be maintained in application against the corresponding surfacing tool.
  • this gripping block was reported by pitch on the ophthalmic lens.
  • pre-wheel a simple mattress junction interposed between the ophthalmic lens and a prefabricated part, which, by reference to the wooden knob on which used to be an ophthalmic lens for work, is usually called pre-wheel.
  • the pre-wheel implemented comprises, overall, on the one hand, a base, by which it is intended to be locked in rotation on the ophthalmic lens to be machined, by the intermediary, therefore, of a low-profile metal connecting mattress melting point melted in situ, and, on the other hand, a superstructure, by which it is capable of being capped by a training tool.
  • This pre-wheel can advantageously be used again successively for many ophthalmic lenses.
  • This wear is in practice incompatible with machining precision constraints to be respected for treated ophthalmic lenses.
  • the pre-wheel is hollow, and, the arrival of the molten metal being done by the recess which it presents axially, only intervenes in practical for the rotational setting of the junction mat obtained a limited number of lugs formed from holes blinds provided for this purpose on the lower surface of the base.
  • the rotational setting of the junction mat, and therefore ophthalmic lens, on the pre-dial is there relatively uncertain, at the risk of inaccuracy in the maintenance of the ophthalmic lens during its machining, and, so, again, at the expense of the accuracy of the surface machined.
  • the present invention generally has for subject a provision to avoid these drawbacks.
  • a pre-wheel for gliding an optical lens of the kind comprising, on the one hand, a base, by which it is intended to be locked in rotation on the optical lens to be machined, using a metal connection mat with low melting point melted in situ, and, on the other hand, a superstructure, by which it is capable of being capped by a training tool, this pre-wheel being in a way general characterized in that its base is peripherally set back vis-à-vis its superstructure.
  • junction mattress it is advantageously possible to allow the junction mattress to form around from the base of the pre-wheel a range specific to the grip of the training tool.
  • the present invention still has for object a method of implementing a gripping block with this pre-wheel, which is the kind that we establish between this pre-wheel and the optical lens to be fitted, for its setting in rotation on it, a metal connecting mat at low melting point melted in situ, and that is in a way general characterized in that it is made so that this connecting mat peripherally encloses the base of the pre-wheel by annularly forming around this base a scope specific to the grip of the drive tool.
  • this grip is transferred from the pre-dial to the junction mat.
  • the pre-wheel is advantageously provided, and, less subject to wear, it can serve a greater number of times without the surfacing conditions of successively processed optical lenses are found there compromised.
  • the mattress junction wraps the base of the pre-wheel is advantageously favorable to a good anchoring of this mattress junction on this pre-wheel, and, therefore, by the setting in resulting rotation, good support of the lens optics during its surfacing, again for the benefit of the precision of the machined surface.
  • this anchoring can advantageously be done on the lateral surface of the base, which, on the one hand, is, generally speaking, more extensive than its lower surface, and which, on the other hand, is at any point at a greater distance of the axis of the whole, for the benefit of efficiency in torque corresponding anchor points.
  • the base of the pre-wheel according to the invention has, recessed, on its surface lateral, at least one notch, and, preferably, several notches distributed circularly.
  • the mattress junction surrounds the base of the pre-wheel combines advantageously with a peripheral arrival of the molten metal, which advantageously spares the central zone of the lens optics treated, reducing the risk of development untimely constraint in it.
  • the drive tool 12 is bell-shaped, so to be able to cap the gripping block 11.
  • the block of gripping 11 implements a pre-wheel 15, which, according to provisions described in more detail later, comprises, on the one hand, a base 16, by which it is intended to be locked in rotation on the lens optics 10 to be machined, via a mattress junction 17 made of metal with a low melting point melted in situ, and, on the other hand, a superstructure 18, by which it is able to be capped by the drive tool 12.
  • the pre-wheel 15 is a part of revolution, of axis A diagrammed in broken lines in the figures.
  • the lateral surface 20 of the superstructure 18 of the pre-wheel 15 is generally frustoconical, going by converging in direction of its upper surface 21.
  • this upper surface 21 is planar, extending substantially perpendicular to the axis A, and the superstructure 18 has, recessed on this surface upper 21, on the one hand, axially, a clearance 23, which is entirely circumscribed annularly by its periphery, and, on the other hand, for cooperation with the training tool 12, a diametrical groove 24, which, intersecting the clearance 23, is split into two sections by it.
  • the base 16 of the pre-wheel 15 is peripherally set back from its superstructure 18, so as to allow the junction mat 17 to form around it, as shown in solid lines on the Figure 1 and as shown in broken lines on the Figure 3, a range 25 specific to the grip of the tool 12.
  • this scope 25 is a scope cylindrical circular cross section centered on axis A.
  • the lateral surface 26 of the base 16 forms with the lateral surface 20 of the superstructure 18 an edge 27, and it is from this edge 27 that extends the span 25.
  • the surface lateral 26 of the base 16 comprises, from the edge 27, a first section 26A, which is generally frustoconical, and which goes by converging towards its lower surface 28, and a second section 26B, which is also generally tapered, but which, unlike the first, goes diverging towards the lower surface 28.
  • the lateral surface 26 of the base 16 has a third section 26C, which is generally cylindrical, extending peripherally along a circumference of diameter less than that of the circumference which extends the edge 27, and which, axially, extends to the surface lower 28.
  • this base 16 is generally set back from the edge 27 which it forms with the superstructure 18, and, therefore, with respect to this last.
  • the base 16 of this pre-wheel 15 has, recessed, on its lateral surface 26, at least one notch 29.
  • notches 29 are provided, being suitably distributed circularly.
  • these notches 29, all identical to each other, are four, and they are generally arranged in a cross around axis A of the assembly.
  • each of the notches 29 does not arises only at a distance from the edge 27 that the base 16 forms with the superstructure 18 and on the contrary extends up to the lower surface 28 of this base 16, biting in growing on this lower surface 28.
  • each of the notches 29 is formed by the conjunction of two surfaces, namely, on the one hand, a flat surface 30, which extends substantially perpendicular to axis A, at a distance of the lower surface 28, and, on the other hand, a surface curve 31, which, starting from the contour of the planar surface 30, generally extends at an angle to axis A and joins the lower surface 28.
  • the lower surface 28 of the base 16 is flat, extending perpendicularly to axis A.
  • clearance 23 of the superstructure 18 is one-eyed.
  • this clearance 23 is closed at its base by a full bottom 32.
  • the following pre-wheel 15 the invention includes an angular orientation mark 33.
  • this mark of angular orientation 33 is formed by a groove, which, affecting, in hollow, the upper surface 21 of the superstructure 18, is separated, angularly, from the groove diametral 24 that it presents.
  • this benchmark of angular orientation 33 can also be formed by a single groove locally affecting the lower surface 28 from base 16.
  • a gripping block comprising the pre-wheel 15 next the invention, it is, for example, as follows.
  • this pre-wheel 15 is engaged by its superstructure 18 in a recess 35 provided for this purpose in the hollow on the surface of a wedging form 36 slightly inclined.
  • this ring 37 can be part integral with the form of wedging 36.
  • the optical lens 10 to be fitted is then reported on the whole, along axis A of the pre-wheel 15.
  • the Junction mattress 17 obtained comprises, in addition to the span 25, a shoulder 40, which extends perpendicular to the axis A of the whole, and, beyond this shoulder 40, a development 41 whose lateral surface 42 is generally frustoconical, in going diverging from shoulder 40.
  • the connecting mattress 17 thus established between the pre-dial 15 and the optical lens 10 to be fitted surrounds peripherally, by coating it, the base 16 of the pre-wheel 15, by annularly forming around this base 16 the scope 25 specific to the grip of the drive tool 12.
  • this bearing 25 immediately extends from superstructure 18 of the pre-wheel 15, flush with it.
  • the span 25 extends to the edge 27 that the base 16 forms with the superstructure 18, thus being in some so in continuity with the latter.
