Abstract

Es wird ein Dampfblaskasten (50) zum Aufbringen von Dampf auf eine über eine Walze (30) einer Papiermaschine geführte Papierbahn angegeben, mit einer sich quer zur Bahnlaufrichtung (53) entlang der Walze (30) erstreckenden, abgeschlossenen Dampfblaskammer (60), der Dampf zuführbar ist und deren der Walze zugewandte Vorderwand (62) eine Mehrzahl von Dampfaustrittsöffnungen (74) aufweist. Zwischen der Vorderwand (62) des Dampfblaskastens (50) und der Walze (30) ist ein Dampfausbreitungsraum (76) gebildet. Zur Temperaturregelung bzw. zur Regelung der im Dampfausbreitungsraum (76) auf die Papierbahn übertragenen Wärmemenge ist ein sich quer zur Bahnlaufrichtung erstreckender Austrittskanal (96) zur Zumischung von Luft vorgesehen. Auf diese Weise läßt sich eine feinfühlige, zonenweise getrennte Steuerung der Erwärmung der Papierbahn erreichen. Der Dampfausbreitungsraum (76) ist durch Zuführung von Luft auf der Einlaufseite (92) zonenweise kühlbar.
