Abstract

Zum Verbrennen von in einem Medienstrom enthaltenen Störstoffen wird ein Gehäuse 1 vorgeschlagen, das in einen ersten Gehäuseabschnitt 3 und einen zweiten Gehäuseabschnitt 4 unterteilt ist. Ein Einlaßquerschnitt eines Eintrittsstutzens 7 des ersten Gehäuseabschnitts 3 und ein Auslaßquerschnitt eines Austrittsstutzens 8 des zweiten Gehäuseabschnitts 4 fluchten, so daß sich am quaderförmigen Gehäuse 1 ein gleichfalls quaderförmiger Wärmetauscher 2 kompakt anschließen läßt. Im ersten Gehäuseabschnitt 3 befinden sich über dem Querschnitt des Medienstromes verteilt Einzelbrenner 11, durch deren Wirkungsweise sich die notwendige Verweilzeit des Medienstromes verkürzen läßt. Infolgedessen kann auch die Vorrichtungslänge verkleinert werden. Selbst die verkleinerte Vorrichtung erlaubt es auf Grund der reduzierten Geschwindigkeit des Medienstromes innerhalb des Gehäuses 1 den Einzelbrennern 11 im geringen Abstand folgend Katalysatoren 17 nachzuschalten.
