Abstract

The holder or so-called 'audio-shoe' has a housing (1) open at the front which can be slid over one end of the hearing aid and devices for removable attachment of the holder on the hearing aid. Electrically conducting tracks (7,8) run on the inside of the housing from the connecting points (6) for the components to the front to make contact with connecting conductors present when the holder is mounted. The connecting points form a universal interface to which any type of hearing aid component can make stable electrical connection.

Description

The present invention relates to a mount for any hearing aid accessory components that can be placed on a hearing aid, with a housing that is open on the front and that can be pushed onto one end of a hearing device, and means for releasably attaching the holder to the hearing aid, on the inside of the housing from that for attaching the respective Guide the component provided connection point from electrical conductor tracks to the front, which come in contact with connection leads leading to the hearing aid electronics on the hearing aid when the holder is attached.

Such mounts are known under the technical name audio shoe. These brackets are usually equipped with very specific components and can be attached to the hearing aid using snap locks. Depending on requirements, a holder equipped with a specific accessory component is attached to the hearing aid. It cannot be overlooked that this is a complex technology. In addition, mechanical defects can occur when the snap lock is released (when the holder is forcibly removed), which can jeopardize the continued use of the holder.

The object of the present invention is to design an audio shoe (holder for components) in such a way that, on the one hand, an exchange of components on the holder is possible and, in addition, preferably unnecessary mechanical defects are countered, i.e. Great compatibility with components and hearing aids is also guaranteed with different battery sizes.

This object is achieved according to the invention in the case of a holder of the type defined at the beginning which can be placed on a hearing aid by the features according to the characterizing part of claim 1.

The bracket thus serves as a connecting part between the hearing aid and the various accessory components.

Thanks to the connection point on the holder, which is designed as a universal interface of the system, the acoustician can connect the accessories desired by him or the hearing aid user to the holder without major modifications. The assembly is facilitated by the fact that very few and still captive parts are provided.

The holder surrounding the hearing aid can be individually adapted to the different hearing aid types in a constructive manner. A defined interface was developed for the connection of the accessory components, the mechanical dimensions of which are the same for all brackets. The accessory components are attached using two screws, for example.

The connection at the universal interface is mechanically and electrically stable and is not accessible to the user without tools.

Particular embodiments of the holder according to the invention are defined in the dependent claims.

The holder is preferably held on the hearing aid by means of a spring-operated locking bolt. The holder can only be removed from the hearing aid by pressing the latch with spring pressure. This construction prevents the holder from accidentally falling off the hearing aid. Mechanical locking, as is the case with conventional plastic snappers, is also avoided with this locking system.

Fig. 1 of the drawing shows purely schematically the connection of an accessory component with the universal interface on the holder (audio shoe) and via this with the electronic contacts on the hearing aid.

4'' (z.B. Funksignal-Empfänger).Fig. 2 shows a holder 1 for placing on a hearing aid with interface 2, the actuation button for locking, and two different accessory components 4 'or 4' '(e.g. radio signal receiver).

Die Kontaktfedern 7, 8 führen über Leiter 7', 8' zur Gehäuseöffnung, um nach dem Aufsetzen auf ein Hörgerätende mit Gegenkontakten der Hörgerätelektronik in mechanisch und elektrisch stabile Verbindung zu treten.3 shows a holder 1, consisting of a housing 1 '(plastic shoe) with an opening 5 on the front, a connection point 6 designed as an interface with associated electrical contact springs 7, 8 (one pair each), which are provided for this purpose, to get into a mechanically and electrically stable connection with contacts of the circuit boards of the accessory component to be attached (not shown). The contact springs 7, 8 lead via conductors 7 ', 8' to the housing opening in order to establish a mechanically and electrically stable connection with mating contacts of the hearing device electronics after being placed on a hearing device end.

Furthermore, a latch 9 is provided, which on the inner wall of the housing leads from the narrow side of the housing to the one above it and is held there under the influence of a compression spring 10 in the closed position (with the holder attached), the latching lug 9 'snapping into a corresponding recess on the hearing aid and from this Position can only be released if a pressure is exerted on the button 9 ″ against the action of the spring 10.

The locking lug 9 'could also be operated by a spring-loaded actuating mechanism arranged directly in the lug area (not shown).

Thanks to the locking mechanism described, a holder placed on a hearing aid can only be released when the button 9 ″ is actuated. On the one hand, this prevents accidental damage and, on the other hand, significantly more stable electrical connections are achieved.

8 gedrückt.FIG. 4 finally shows a holder 11 according to FIG. 3 with accessories component 13 attached to its connection point 12 (interface) in its position placed on a hearing aid end 14. The electrical conductors 7, 7 'and 8, 8' are clearly visible in contact with circuit boards 15, 16 of the accessory component 13 and the mating contacts 17, 18 of the hearing aid. The printed circuit boards 15, 16 of the component 13 are additionally pressed against the conductors 7 and 8 by means of compression springs 19.

With the inventive concept of the holder, the storage by the acoustician can be kept to a minimum. The inexpensive brackets and the more complex accessory components can be managed separately and can only be completed if necessary.
