Abstract
L'invention se rapporte à un palier axial hydraulique pour un essieu monté radialement (1), ce palier comportant un rebord (1a) comprenant un espace d'étanchéité externe, sensiblement axial (7) formé entre le rebord et une bague d'étanchéité (3), et un espace d'étanchéité interne, sensiblement radial (9) formé entre l'essieu et une bague d'étanchéité (5a) renfermée dans le corps (5) du palier. Un milieu délivrant une pression hydraulique est acheminé par la conduite (D) et amené vers la cavité (11) formée entre les espaces d'étanchéité. Le milieu est ensuite évacué par les espaces, grâce à une chute de pression considérable, afin d'absorber les charges axiales appliquées sur l'essieu. L'espace axial externe peut être réglé par un milieu de pression supplémentaire qui est acheminé par la conduite (D) dans la chambre sous-pression (5b). Ceci permet de réguler la pression de la cavité (11) et, par conséquent, les charges axiales absorbées.
