Definitions
- the invention relates to a fastener for seat belts, with a release button for a latch that is between a locked position and a release position slidably mounted on a frame and a balancing mass that has one arm of one on the frame pivoted lever forms.
- the invention has for its object a closure of the initially mentioned type with a large safety reserve equip, so that accidental opening when accelerating both along the longitudinal axis of the closure and across the Closure also taking tolerances and aging into account is safely prevented.
- the release button has two stops that in Direction of their displacement movement are spaced from each other that the lever a first lever arm, the free end in one Rest position of the lever the first stop of the release button in one opposite predetermined distance, and a second lever arm has, the free end in the rest position the second stop the release button is opposite, and that the release button with a Locking surface is provided, which in the locked position Release the pivoting of the balancing mass from the rest position prevented by reaching under the free end of the second lever arm, and after an empty path of the release button in the direction of the release position, the about the predetermined distance between the free end of the first Lever arm and the first stop of the release button corresponds to that Compensating mass releases, the predetermined distance is essential smaller than the stroke of the release button between the locking and the Release position is.
- the balancing mass is in in principle the same way for both delay and Acceleration of the closure along its longitudinal axis effective, and through appropriate dimensioning and suitable choice of focus the balancing mass can overcompensate the inertia forces respectively.
- This overcompensation results in the desired large one Safety reserve.
- Through the locking surface of the release button prevents the balancing mass from acting transversely to the closure Accelerations are moved out of the rest position. Therefore is the leveling compound even after one across the closure acting acceleration still in its rest position in which it is at a possible subsequent acceleration along the longitudinal axis the inertia forces acting on the release button can safely compensate.
- the blocking area in one of zero different angles with respect to the direction of the sliding movement of the Release button is inclined. This way the release button can when for example, slightly in the direction of vibrations Release position was shifted and the balancing mass Lever has moved out of its rest position when returning in the locking position the lever back to the rest position put back.
- the main components are one Seat belt buckle shown.
- a load bearing Frame 10 is an insertion path for a tongue.
- a (not shown) Bolt slidably guided by the tongue in the insertion path can lock.
- a release button 14 On the frame 10 is a release button 14 in Longitudinal direction of this frame between a locking bar Locked position and a release position slidably guided in which the latch can be moved into its open position.
- a lever 16 is also pivotable about an axis 18 stored.
- This lever 16 consists of two laterally at a distance arranged from each other, through the axis 18 rigidly together connected mass bodies 16a, 16b, which together form a balancing mass form.
- the lever 16 also faces the mass bodies 16a, 16b two lever arms 16c and 16d.
- the release button 14 two stops 14a, 14b are formed, which in Direction of displacement of the release button spaced apart are.
- the distance is such that the stops 14a, 14b in Longitudinal direction of the frame 10 on both sides of the free ends of the Lever arms 16c, 16d are located, the stop 14a the free end of the lever arm 16c at a predetermined distance A and the stop 14b the free end of the lever arm 16d at a distance opposite, which is smaller than the predetermined distance A.
- the predetermined distance A is chosen much smaller than that to Transfer the release button 14 from the locked position in the Release position necessary stroke.
- the lever 16 is in by a spring 20 (see Figures 3a to 3c) the rest position shown in Figures 1 to 4 on a stop (not shown).
- a blocking surface 22 is formed which is opposite to the direction of the Sliding movement of the release button 14 is inclined by an angle ⁇ and engages under the free end of the lever arm 16d, so that the Compensation mass against pivoting out of the shown Rest position is supported as long as the release button 14 is not around a certain idle stroke from the locked position in the direction of Release position was shifted. This idle stroke is smaller than that predetermined distance A selected.
- the inertia forces are compensated by the lever 16, the on the release button 14 during strong acceleration or deceleration of the closure occur along its longitudinal axis, in particular when tightening the belt using a tensioner, which is on Lock attacks and this towards the vehicle floor shifted.
- the release button 14 When the release button 14 is actuated normally, the stop hits 14a after overcoming the idle stroke of the release button 14 against the free one End of the lever arm 16c, whereby it pivots clockwise becomes. This is possible because, on the one hand, the blocking surface 22 is free End of the lever arm 16d was released and the other the rear Stop 14b with the release button 14 is shifted so that the free End of the lever arm 16d does not hit any obstacle; the release button 14 can therefore be operated freely (see Figure 5).
- Figure 3a shows schematically the mass forces occurring in the case an acceleration of the closure in the direction of an arrow A.
- the Release button 14 strives through its inertia to oppose the To shift in the direction of arrow A.
- the lever 16 has a total, i.e. taking into account its lever arms 16c and 16d as well as the mass body 16a, 16b, a focus S. This focus lies below the axis 18.
- the lever 16 therefore strives to be a Execute pivoting movement counterclockwise in Figure 3a.
- the free end of the lever arm 16c abuts the stop 14a, whereby the movement of the release button 14 against the direction of Arrow A is locked.
- a closure is created in which the occurring Inertial forces of the release button 14 during acceleration along the longitudinal axis of the closure by the lever 16 compensated and in which the inertial forces of the lever 16 at a Acceleration across the breech from either the locking surface 22 or be taken up by the (not shown) stop, so that the Lever 16 remains in the rest position shown, in which it is in If there is a subsequent acceleration along the longitudinal axis of the Compensate the inertia forces of the release button 14 can.
- FIG. 6 shows a further development of a part of that in FIGS to 5 shown closure shown.
- a Plastic holding part shown on the frame of the closure is attached and with some functional parts of the closure is provided.
- the holding part of the lever 16 forming the balancing mass is pivotable stored.
- the reference numerals 16c 'and 16d' are the lever arms Compensating mass in the pivoted out of the rest position Position designated.
- the damping element is a in the illustrated embodiment Nose that is cast on the holding part.
- the function of this nose consists of movements of the balancing mass in the area of their To dampen the rest position, especially when there are large accelerations to act on the shot. In such a case, preferably damping by plastic deformation of the damping element 25.
- the additional mass 27 is displaceable in a guide 29 arranged. Between the bottom of the guide 29 and the additional mass 27 a compression spring 31 is arranged, which the additional mass 27 in Directed towards the lever 16, on which it with its to the spring 31 opposite end abuts. When the release button is pressed the additional mass 27 is pivoted by means of the lever 16.
- the function of the additional mass 27 is one at the Locking transverse acceleration safely the balancing mass to keep at rest. In this way, at a Acceleration of the closure in the direction of arrow C of Figure 3c that which acts on the balancing mass from the rest position Moment can be compensated.
- FIG. 7 shows another arrangement of that shown in FIG. 6 Additional mass 27 shown.
- the Additional mass 27 parallel to the direction of the displacement movement of the Movable release button of the lock. This arrangement serves the Effect of the balancing mass on accelerations or decelerations the lock parallel to the direction of the sliding movement of the Support release button.
