Definitions
- the present invention relates to a static extractor for ventilation or smoke duct.
- a static extractor is a device without moving parts intended to be installed at the upper end of a ventilation duct or smoke, with the objective of creating a depression depending on the wind speed, to oppose reversals of air flow or smoke and increase the flow rates extracted in the presence of wind.
- a duct is generally fitted at its upper end an element comprising a horizontal wall perpendicular to the duct, and resting on this conduit via feet thus delimiting with the duct of the side openings for the passage of smoke.
- Such device is not anti-backflow and does not offer an extraction speed sufficient.
- a static extractor usually has a base consisting of a tubular element on which are arranged one or more superimposed elements each comprising lateral openings.
- the number of elements depends on the importance of the winds and characteristics of the installation.
- Such a device in addition to its little character aesthetic, offers implementation difficulties, insofar as it has several elements, generally two to five to obtain a good result, and that the assembly of these different elements must be made on site using mortar.
- the object of the invention is to provide a static extractor which ensures good extraction of smoke or air, while avoiding repression, which is a practical implementation, thanks to a technique simple assembly, which is not likely to be damaged during different manipulations preceding its installation, which is aesthetic, and which allows, if necessary, the disassembly of the upper part to achieve sweeping the duct intended to be fitted with such an extractor.
- the static extractor that it concerns of the type comprising a horizontal upper wall arranged in the axis of the leads to the upper end of it connected by feet to a tubular element located at the end of the conduit itself, and comprising a lower element and an upper element connected by feet delimiting two by two of the openings, the cross section of each of which has increased since the area located to the right of the duct to the outside, by tilting up at the bottom and from the inside to the outside of the lower wall delimiting this opening, belonging to the tubular element located at the end of the duct, is characterized in that the bottom wall of each opening from inside to outside, has two successive surfaces, of which the one on the inside is more sloping than the one on the side outside.
- this extractor is rectangular, it has four feet between which are formed four openings. Increasing the air or smoke passage section between the area located to the right of the duct and the area outside the extractor creates a Venturi effect improving the extraction of smoke or air, and avoiding the effects of repression. In addition, this inclination provides the extractor a pleasant aesthetic, as far as the total height between the two lower and upper elements is between 20 and 25 cm.
- the first surface that is to say the one furthest inward forms an angle of the order of 40 to 50 ° with vertical, while the outermost surface forms an angle of around 60 to 70 ° with the vertical.
- This characteristic makes it possible to have, in the zone located on the side of the duct, of a surface offering a significant divergence improving extraction.
- the fact that the adjacent surface, located farther the outside is less steep does not disturb the operation of the extractor, while making it more compact than if this second surface was an extension of the previous one, and this for the same seat width of the lower element. This allows reduce bulk, weight and improve the aesthetics of the extractor.
- the feet connecting the tubular lower element located at the end of the conduit and the element upper with a horizontal wall have a section oblong transverse whose major axis is oriented from the center of the leads outward.
- the section of each foot is minimal in its central part and increases respectively downwards and downwards high while retaining an oblong shape.
- the extractor has a rectangular shape, it has four feet, and the major axis of each foot forms an angle of 45 ° with the side walls adjacent.
- This oblong shape which can correspond substantially to an elliptical section, decreases the pressure drop, and improves the effect Venturi, while participating in the aesthetics of the whole.
- the reduction of the surfaces between the section extractor air intakes to the right of the external part of the feet and the smoke passage section to the right of the duct is between 0.60 and 0.55.
- the two lower and upper elements comprising the horizontal wall are combined to each other in the central part of the feet, which have additional bayonet-shaped cutouts.
- connection between two sections of each foot is made via an uncooked rubber disc both sides of which are covered with a layer of adhesive "repositionable”, that is to say capable of collages and take-offs successive without deterioration, itself coated with a film of protection.
- a rubber disc is attached to each cutting of a lower element, the protective film of the layer of glue remaining on its other side.
- the upper part of the extractor is placed, for its storage and transport, on the lower element, and does not adhere to it, since the upper face of each disc is still coated with a protective film.
- the rubber discs ensure amortization between the two elements, avoiding the risk of breakage these.
- the element is first installed tubular, after which the protective films are removed from the different connecting discs.
- the upper element is then placed on the lower element, the discs ensuring the connection between these two elements.
- the use of such disc is very interesting, in that it allows you to take account for manufacturing tolerances, while ensuring a role of shock protection during storage and transport and providing great ease of implementation during construction, since avoiding any connection using mortar or the like.
- the static extractor shown in the drawing includes a lower element 2 comprising a base 3 provided with an opening 4. This base 3 is intended to come to rest and to be fixed at the upper end of the leads to equip.
- This extractor also includes an element upper 5 having a horizontal upper wall 6 arranged perpendicular to the axis of the conduit.
- the lower elements 2 and upper 5 are connected by four legs 7, arranged near the corners of the extractor which, in the embodiment shown, is of general rectangular.
- the lower element 2 and the upper element 5 each have leg sections, the assembly between the two elements being produced in the central part of the feet.
- this extractor has four side openings 8 for the passage of air or smoke, each opening being delimited in particular by a bottom wall 9 belonging to the lower element 2.
- This lower wall 9 comprises of the interior towards the exterior and successively an interior surface 10 and an outer surface 12.
- the inner surface 10 is quite strongly tilted up and down and from the inside to the outside, forming a angle, for example, of the order of 40 to 50 ° with the vertical.
- the surface outer 12 is less inclined, forming an angle, for example, of the order from 60 to 70 ° with the vertical.
- This shape of the bottom wall 9 allows improve depression by creating a Venturi effect, while limiting the size of the extractor for the same seat width of the lower element, thanks to the slightest inclination of the external surface 12.
- each foot 7 has an oblong shape, for example an ellipse shape, of which the major axis forms an angle of 45 ° with the adjacent side walls of the extractor.
- the feet 7 have a section which is minimal in their central part and which increases downwards and upwards respectively while retaining an oblong shape.
- connection between the two parts of each foot is carried out by through bayonet-shaped cutouts 13, oriented each perpendicular to the axis of the foot concerned, as is shown in Figure 4.
- This structure allows the centering of the upper element on the lower element, and to avoid the movements of translation and rotation of the upper element with respect to the element inferior.
- connection between the lower and upper elements is carried out at each foot by a disc 14 of uncooked rubber, therefore non-retentive, coated on each of its faces with a layer of adhesive itself coated with a protective film 15.
- the invention provides a great improvement to the existing technique by providing an extractor static for air or smoke duct of simple design, made at from a reduced number of elements, compact structure, layout quick work on site, and with a pleasant aesthetic.
