Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines hitzebeständigen Garns. Erfindungsgemäß wird aus SiO2-Stapelfasern zunächst durch Krempeln und mechanische Verfestigung ein Vliesstoff (5) hergestellt. Der Vliesstoff (5) und SiO2-Filamente werden einem Spinnaggregat zugeführt, welches zwei perforierte, gleichsinnig rotierende und mit Saugeinsätzen (1) ausgerüstete Spinntrommeln (2) sowie eine Kardentrommel (3) aufweist. Der mechanisch verfestigte Vliesstoff wird mittels der Kardentrommel (3) wieder in Fasern aufgelöst, wobei die abgelösten Fasern von einem Luftstrom unterstützt im Zwickelbereich zwischen den Spinntrommeln (2) abgelegt sowie durch einen Abwälzvorgang an der Oberfläche der mit gleicher Drehrichtung umlaufenden Spinntrommeln (2) eingedreht werden. Dabei umwinden sie die SiO2-Filamente (4), die dem Spinnaggregat in Achsrichtung der Spinntrommeln (2) zulaufen.
