Abstract

Bei einem Verfahren zum Verbrennen von Brenngut in einem Drehrohrofen mit einer feststehenden Stirnwand (2) und einem unter Ausbildung eines Ringspaltes (5) zur Stirnwand drehbaren Drehrohr (3), bei dem durch die Stirnwand das Brenngut und mindestens ein kompakter Strom an Verbrennungsluft zugeführt werden, ist zur einfacheren und genaueren Beeinflussung des Verbrennungsvorgangs im Drehrohr vorgesehen, daß zusätzlich zu mindestens einem kompakten Strahl verdrallter Hauptluft über mindestens ein Segment des Ringspaltes (5) Ringspaltluft zugeführt wird, die das Ringspaltsegment ohne Drall oder mit Drall (DR)durchströmt, der dem Drall (DH) der Hauptluft gleichgerichtet oder entgegen gerichtet ist.
