- Pump chambers are provided on the inside of the container housing, which deform the heart muscle wall directly at corresponding points.
- this known device suffers from the disadvantage that the pressure spread to certain ventricular areas of the heart continues within the organ in such a way that opposite areas of the heart are pressed against the rigid container wall in accordance with the pressure-exerting centers. In this way irreversible damage to the heart or the vessels can be caused.

- the filling chambers 5 are either glued or vulcanized onto the wall of the elastic casing. Likewise, the filling chambers can be specially designed and can be detachably connected to the elastic sheath via connecting elements which are incorporated in the wall.
- connection lines are provided above the respective filling chambers 5 and are rigidly connected to one another via a bracket (not shown in FIG. 1 a). Likewise, no connection valves are drawn on the filling chambers in FIG. 1 a, via which the connection lines (also not shown) for filling can be created.
- the material of the elastic sheath must be selected such that, on the one hand, the elastic sheath does not slip sideways relative to the heart wall, but on the other hand the elastic sheath has sufficient elasticity to unhinder the expansion behavior of the organ to follow.

Abstract
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'assistance à la fonction cardiaque, qui comporte des chambres gonflables élastiques exerçant une pression mécanique et agissant de manière ciblée sur la zone du ventricule gauche, qui peuvent être gonflées avec un milieu et être ensuite dégonflées, par l'intermédiaire de conduites de raccordement. Cette invention se caractérise en ce qu'il est prévu une enveloppe élastique qui peut être appliquée au moins en partie autour du coeur et dont la paroi comporte des chambres gonflables dans la zone du ventricule gauche.
