Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a mechanism for manual correction of a date indicator for timepiece, said piece further bearing at least hour and minute hands, said mechanism correction comprising a first device susceptible to be coupled to the indicator to allow its only correction, and a second device likely to be coupled to said indicator to allow correction of hour and minute hands and the indicator date.
  • the correction mechanism defined briefly in above paragraph is well known from the state of the art. In general, it is controlled by a rod surmounted by a crown which can take a neutral pushed back position, then a first position pulled and finally a second pulled position. In neutral position, the crown is used to wind the timepiece.
  • the crown In the first position taken from the stem, the crown operates a first device which allows, in a single meaning, the rapid date setting of the only indicator of date.
  • the commonly used system implements a sliding gear as described for example in the document EP-A-0 173 230.
  • the rapid correction of the date does not take place only in one direction of rotation of the crown.
  • the current invention resumes this execution by modifying it slightly, as we will see later.
  • the crown activates a second device which corrects the hour, minute and date displayed by the coin of watchmaking.
  • a known and widely used device works an elastic finger in engagement with the indicator of date, this finger being controlled by a wheel intermediate, the latter being actuated in turn by the hour wheel.
  • This device is described, by example, in document CH-A-480 674.
  • the finger advances the date indicator by one division every 24 hours.
  • this indicator is not activated if the hands are moved counterclockwise. This is due to the shape given at the end of the elastic finger which has a sharp edge on one side able to push a tooth of the date indicator and the other side an inclined flank which slides over the tooth without activate it.
  • the present invention overcomes the disadvantages mentioned above since it offers a second device acting in both directions on the date indicator while offering a first device allowing, in a sense, a rapid advance of said indicator.
  • the present invention is remarkable in that the second device includes means for decoupling allowing it to dissociate itself from the date indicator when the first device drives said indicator.
  • the piece watchmaking carries a 3 hour hand, a minute 5 and a date indicator 2.
  • the invention deals with the manual correction mechanism of the date indicator.
  • This mechanism includes everything first a first device 10 capable of being coupled at indicator 2 and arranged to allow its only correction.
  • This mechanism then includes a second device 11 capable of being coupled to indicator 2 and arranged to allow correction of needles hour 3 and minute 5 as well as the date 2.
  • the second device 11 comprises decoupling means 12 allowing said device 11 to disassociate from the indicator of the second 2 when the first device 10 drives this indicator 2, in the direction of the arrow A code can be seen in Figure 2.
  • the date indicator is a ring 2 with teeth 14. This ring has the date numerals from 1 to 31 (partially represented) which appear one after the other through a window (no represented). Note that the date indicator is not not limited to a ring, but could be a needle date as has already been proposed.
  • the correction mechanism is controlled by a rod 23 surmounted by a crown 24, this rod being able to occupy three positions, one pressed and two pulled.
  • the pressed position corresponds to what is shown in Figures 1 and 3. This is the position for which reassembly of the watch is possible. It's about also the normal running of the watch, the barrel drives the hour 3 and minute 5 hands as well as the date ring 2.
  • Figures 1 and 3 show that in normal operation the 18 hour wheel drives an intermediate wheel 17 which turns around 24 hours.
  • On the intermediate wheel 17 is disposed a plate 30 which carries a finger 16.
  • the finger 16 is progress, once per 24 hours a mobile 13, 15 in taken with the teeth 14 of the ring 2.
  • a wheel intermediate operated by the hour wheel, this wheel intermediary wearing a finger acting on a star in taken with a date ring, is the subject of a document published under number EP-A-0 218 926. On will observe however that the timepiece in which is mounted this mechanism does not include any the quick date.
  • the first pulled position 25 of the rod 23 allows to act by known kinematics, but not represented, on the first rapid date setting device 10 of the date ring 2.
  • This first device 10 comprises a mobile with a star 4 engaged with the teeth 14 of ring 2.
  • a wheel R secured to this star acts on a sliding pinion 90 which can be engaged with it (Figure 2) or free ( Figure 1) depending on the direction of rotation of the stem.
  • ring 2 can only rotate in the direction of arrows A of figure 2, which corresponds to a certain sense of rotation of the rod 23.
  • the sliding pinion 90 is detached from the wheel R, as shown in Figure 1.
  • the second pulled position 26 of the rod 23 allows by kinematics also known, but not shown, the time setting in any clockwise direction of hour 3 and minute 5 as well as the ring of date 2.
  • This second drawn position corresponds also to what is shown in figure 1 and the crown acts on the second device 11 which will be described now.
  • This second device 11 is a mobile comprising a first star 13 capable of meshing with the teeth 14 of the ring 2 and a second star 15 (see Figure 3) secured to the first star 13 and coaxial with this star 13.
  • This second star 15 meshes with finger 16 carried by the intermediate wheel 17 which in turn meshes with the 18 hour wheel. finger 16 emerges from plate 30 which is carried by the wheel intermediate 17.
  • the second device 11 includes decoupling means allowing it to detach from ring 2.
  • these decoupling means consist of a plate 12 recalled by a leaf spring 19.
  • This plate 12 supports the mobile formed by the first 13 and second 15 stars and figure 3 shows more specifically that these stars are on either side of plate 12.
  • the plate 12 is pivotally mounted on an axis 6 around which also turns the intermediate wheel.
  • the mobile formed by the stars 13 and 15 can take a position of engagement as in Figure 1 or a position of disengagement as in figure 2. In figure 1, the mobile is engaged because it is recalled by the leaf spring 19. At this moment the first star 13 meshes with the teeth 14 of the ring 2.
  • the mobile is disengaged and the first star 13 no longer meshes with the teeth 14 of ring 2.
  • This disengagement is caused, as illustrated in figure 2, by the rotation of the ring 2 when the first device 10 is actuated, that is to say when fast forwarding the ring 2 in the direction of the arrows A.
  • the teeth 14 of ring 2 grow teeth 20 of first star 13 outside the path of the ring teeth and this against the return force of the leaf spring 19.
  • the teeth 20 of the star 13 fall back into the teeth 14 of the ring 2.
  • the play timepiece of the invention allows on the one hand the quick correction of the date ring in one direction and on the other hand the correction in any direction of hour, minute and date.
  • a double jump from the date no longer occurs when we proceed to corrections which have been described in the preamble to this document. Indeed if we make a correction retrograde hour after the date ring has jumped at midnight, this correction will cause a jump retrograde of the ring passing at midnight, while in known timepieces this retrograde leap has not location.
  • the ring of calendar follows all the rotations of the hour wheel and remains synchronized to this wheel in all cases.
  • Figures 1 and 2 further show that the positions of engagement and disengagement of the mobile 13, 15 and the plate 12 on which it is mounted are defined by a pin 9 inserted in a plate 21 of the part of watchmaking. This pin 9 passes through an opening oblong 22 made in the plate 12. These same figures also show that the plate 12 and the leaf spring 19 are made in one piece.
