Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Laborwerkbank (1) mit einem Gehäuse, mit einer Arbeitsöffnung, die einen in dem Gehäuse angeordneten Arbeitsraum (3) an seiner einen Seite begrenzt, mit einem Gebläse zur Erzeugung eines Luftstromes in dem Arbeitsraum (3) und mit einer beweglich an dem Gehäuse angeordneten Schutzscheibe (7). Um Bewegungsmöglichkeiten für die Schutzscheibe (7) zu schaffen, bei der die Unfallgefahr auf ein Minimum reduziert wird, wobei gleichzeitig die Bedienperson vor Einflüssen aus dem Arbeitsraum (3) geschützt wird, ist die Schutzscheibe (7) im oberen Bereich der Arbeitsraumöffnung derart in dem Gehäuse gehaltert, daß sie zwischen einer hängenden, die Arbeitsöffnung wenigstens teilweise abdeckenden Stellung und einer in das Gehäuse ragenden Stellung bewegbar ist.
