Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for cleaning plants Food industry using an alkaline detergent solution Membrane filtration is regenerated, with the permeate being recycled.
- EDTA ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid
- the used cleaning solution again via membrane filtration systems work up. To do this, part of the cleaning solution is removed from a collection container discharged into a buffer tank and from there in a circle via a membrane system pumped, the filtration taking place in cross flow.
- Such a thing Processing method is known from WO 95/27681 A1. That from water and sodium hydroxide solution existing permeate becomes the collection container for the Cleaning solution returned.
- In the buffer tank of the membrane cleaning system accumulate the organic contaminants that are taken from time to time to dispose of them.
- the invention is based on the object a process for cleaning plants in the food industry at the beginning Provide mentioned type, which is a significantly more economical cleaning than enabled in the prior art.
- This object is achieved by a method for cleaning plants Food industry using an alkaline detergent solution Regeneration of the nanomembrane filtration, recycling the permeate, characterized in that one uses a cleaning solution, the Hydroxide component exclusively from potassium hydroxide solution or from a mixture of potassium hydroxide solution and another alkali, in particular sodium hydroxide solution, with at least 20% by weight Potassium hydroxide solution, calculated as hydroxide and based on the total in the The hydroxide solution contained in the cleaning solution.
- the inventors have found that a partial or complete replacement of sodium hydroxide with potassium hydroxide performance membrane system increases by at least 10 to 50%.
- the performance relates here on the permeate flows reached. This allows the plant investment and reduce the energy consumption of the membrane filtration system. Higher concentrations of the separated dirt load are possible, so that the Reduced the amount of dirt and the yield of regenerated lye is increased.
- the performance of the membrane filtration system is also increased by replacing the sodium salts with potassium salts. Disadvantages that occur during filtration through the use of EDTA can be compensated for or simply overcompensated by simply using potassium hydroxide solution and EDTA in the form of the free acid or its potassium salt. Use of the disodium salt of EDTA is also possible if the sodium ion content in the lye does not exceed certain limits. If all alkali metal ions are calculated as alkali hydroxide, the potassium hydroxide solution in the base, based on the total amount of hydroxide in the cleaning base, must not drop below 20% by weight. In general, the performance of the filtration system increases with the ratio of potassium to sodium ions in the cleaning liquor, which means that sodium-free cleaning solutions give the highest flow rates in l / m 2 h.
- the cleaning solution preferably contains a mixture of potassium hydroxide solution and another alkali, preferably sodium hydroxide solution, with at least 50% by weight of potassium hydroxide solution, calculated and related as mentioned above.
- the advantage of the EDTA-free cleaning solution with at least 50% by weight potassium hydroxide solution lies in the possibility of immediately removing the filtered impurities Post-treatment as animal feed, e.g. B. as pig feed, because a increased salinity in the case of potassium salts rather than an increased sodium salt content can be tolerated.
- the cleaning solution contains additives that are all suitable as additives for animal feed.
- physiologically harmless cleaning enhancer which in the known cleaning agents not used, especially phosphates, Gluconates and / or food defoamers and emulsifiers suggested.
- the cleaning liquor contains, in addition to the hydroxide constituents, additives which are in the form of potassium salts.
- the performance of the membrane filtration system can be additionally increased in this case. If the permeate flow in a conventional sodium hydroxide-based cleaning solution such. B. is 50 l / m2 h, this performance is increased to 70 l / m 2 h by replacing the sodium hydroxide solution with potassium hydroxide solution. If the cleaning liquor also contains potassium tripolyphosphate as a cleaning booster, the permeate flow also increases to 74 l / m 2 h.
- Another advantage of these additives in the form of potassium salts is that particularly suitable as an animal feed additive.
- the method according to the invention can be used advantageous for plants in the food industry that use a regeneration system for used cleaning liquors.
- the use of the cleaning liquor in systems of the Dairy farming since the concentrate obtained without further treatment as Animal feed can be used. Diafiltration or another additional Refurbishment is usually not necessary. Not only is there an elaborate process Dispose of the separated contaminants, but this "Impurities" represent a new resource. Should the increased salt content however, they can be reduced by means of diafiltration Refurbishment in the case of the cleaning process according to the invention perform much faster and therefore more economically.
- EDTA falls with a much lower one Residual contamination content.
- the filtered EDTA can again with alkali converted into a soluble form and, for example, the permeate from the Nanofiltration can be added. Since certain portions of EDTA both in the felled Sludge as well as in the solution from which it has been precipitated can be removed Using this method, 80 - 90% of the EDTA originally used can be recycled.
- the filtered dirt is not due to its residual EDTA content more usable as cattle feed.
- the cleaning liquor is regenerated preferably alkali-resistant nanofiltration membranes with a D value from 100 to 2000 daltons.
- Such membranes are for molecules with permeable to a molecular weight up to the stated D value, but hold Molecules with higher molecular weights return.
- membrane filtration is operated in cross flow with a transmembrane Pressure difference from 8 to 25 bar.
- Cleaning dairy equipment uses a cleaning solution that in addition to the hydroxide components contains only additives that as Additives for animal feed are suitable, and that one in membrane filtration resulting concentrate used as animal feed or additive to animal feed.
- a concentrate with a particularly high potassium content is much better than Concentrates with high sodium levels for use as animal feed, e.g. B. as Pig feed suitable. Therefore, it is also proposed that the hydroxide components the cleaning solution consist exclusively of potassium hydroxide solution.
- the liquor which contains about 2 wt is tempered, fed to the systems to be cleaned, tanks, pipelines, etc., which are identified in FIG. 1 by reference number 2.
- the cleaning liquor is circulated.
- the contamination of the cleaning solution that accumulates over time are removed with the preparation part shown on the right in FIG.
- To part of the cleaning liquor is discharged into the buffer tank 4 via a line 3.
- This portion of the cleaning liquor is circulated via a pressure pump 5 and a membrane module 6 driven in the circuit.
- Accumulating and settling contaminants are over from time to time taken a line 7.
- the permeate emerging from the membrane module is returned to the collecting tank 1 via the return line 8.
- the permeate flow was 50 l / hm 2 .
- the permeate flow was 50 l / hm 2 .
