Abstract

Fassung zur Befestigung eines Schmucksteines (6) in einer Durchgangsbohrung (10) eines dünnwandigen Trägers (12) mit einem ringförmig gebogenen Band (1), wobei das Band (1) im Anlagebereich (3) an die Durchgangsbohrung (10) zylinderförmig und der untere Randbereich (4) des Bandes (1) zur Mittelachse (9) hin konisch verjüngt ist. Das Band (1) weist weiters zumindest im unteren Randbereich (4) mindestens einen Einschnitt (8) auf.

Description

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Fassung zur Befestigung eines Schmucksteines in einer Durchgangsbohrung eines dünnwandigen Trägers, mit einem ringförmig gebogenen Band.
Eine derartige Fassung ist aus der DE 38 44 599 A1 bereits bekannt. Wie in der Beschreibung ausgeführt wird, handelt es sich dabei um eine Fassung, die vorzugsweise für die Verankerung großer Lüster-Glasteile verwendet wird, wobei bei diesem Anwendungsfall relativ geringe Anforderungen bezüglich eines spielfreien Halts der gefaßten Glasteile in der Durchgangsbohrung des Trägers bestehen. Selbst bei Vorgabe enger Passungen ist es aufgrund der Größe der gefaßten Glasteile für eine problemlose Positionierung der Fassung in der Durchgangsbohrung ausreichend, den unteren Rand des Bandes etwas umzubördeln.
Wesentlich höhere Ansprüche werden jedoch gestellt, wenn eine derartige Fassung zur Befestigung winziger Schmucksteine, beispielsweise Brillanten oder geschliffener Glassteinchen, in der nur wenige Zehntelmillimeter starken Wand von Hohlschmuck verwendet werden soll. Da in diesem Fall eine spielfreie Fixierung der Fassung samt Schmuckstein unbedingt notwendig ist, muß mit sehr engen Passungen gearbeitet werden. Daraus resultiert das Problem, daß die aufgrund ihrer geringen Abmessungen schwer handhabbaren gefaßten Schmucksteine kaum in die dafür vorgesehene Durchgangsbohrung eingesetzt werden können.
Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es daher, die bekannte Fassung dahingehend zu verbessern, daß der Einbau der gefaßten Schmucksteine in die Durchgangsbohrung eines dünnwandigen Trägers erleichtert wird.
Dies wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch erreicht, daß das Band im Anlagebereich an die Durchgangsbohrung zylinderförmig und der untere Randbereich des Bandes zur Mittelachse hin konisch verjüngt ist, wobei das Band zumindest im unteren Randbereich mindestens einen Einschnitt aufweist.
Durch diese Merkmalskombination wird einerseits eine satte Anlage der Fassung im zylinderförmigen Bereich erzielt. Andererseits bildet der konisch verjüngte Randbereich eine Einführschräge, deren Wirkung dadurch verstärkt wird, daß zumindest der untere Randbereich durch mindestens einen Einschnitt in mehrere Federzungen aufgeteilt wird.
Ist nur ein Einschnitt vorgesehen, so bildet dieser zusammen mit der in Richtung der Mittelachse der Fassung verlaufenden Stoßkante des zu einem Ring geformten Bandes genau zwei Federzungen aus.
Eine bevorzugte Ausführungsvariante der Einführschräge sieht vor, daß der untere Randbereich kegelförmig abgeschrägt ist.
Zur Fixierung der Fassung in der Durchgangsbohrung des dünnwandigen Trägers kann weiters vorgesehen sein, daß das Band nach außen gerichtete Rastnasen aufweist. Diese Rastnasen hintergreifen im eingebauten Zustand formschlüssig die Wand des Trägers.
Weitere Merkmale und Einzelheiten ergeben sich aus der nachfolgenden Figurenbeschreibung.
Dabei zeigt:
  • Fig. 1 einen Schnitt durch eine erfindungsgemäße Fassung im eingesetzten Zustand,
  • Fig. 2 eine für die Aufnahme der Fassung vorbereitete Durchgangsbohrung in der Wand eines Hohlschmucks
  • Fig. 3 das die Fassung bildende Band in flachem Zustand während der Herstellung und
  • Fig. 4 einen Schnitt durch einen mit gefaßten Schmucksteinen versehenen Hohlschmuck.
    • Anhand der Fig. 1 und 2 läßt sich die Befestigung eines Schmucksteines (Chaton) 6 mittels einer erfindungsgemäßen Fassung einfach beschreiben. Ein dünnwandiger Träger 2, vorzugsweise ein Hohlschmuck mit einer Wandstärke von etwa 0,2 mm, weist dazu eine Durchgangsbohrung 10 auf. Der Durchmesser der zylinderförmigen Druchgangsbohrung 10 beträgt im vergrößert gezeichneten Ausführungsbeispiel 1,9 mm.
    Der Schmuckstein 6 wird von einem ringförmig gebogenen Band 1 umfaßt, wobei insbesondere der obere Randbereich 5 des Bandes 1 den Schmuckstein 6 formschlüssig umfaßt. Als Alternative dazu wäre es auch vorstellbar, daß der Schmuckstein 6 durch vom oberen Randbereich 5 abstehende Halteklammern fixiert wird. Der Begriff

    Schmuckstein" ist in diesem Zusammenhang sehr weit zu sehen, sodaß sowohl Edelsteine als auch geschliffenes (gefärbtes) Glas davon umfaßt sind.
    Geht man von einer waagrechten Einbauposition gemäß Fig. 1 aus, so wird die durch das Band 1 gebildete Fassung von oben in die Durchgangsbohrung 10 gedruckt. Der sich kegelförmig nach innen verjüngende untere Randbereich 4 des Bandes 1 wirkt dabei als Zentrierhilfe und erleichtert das Positionieren der Fassung. Da der zylinderförmig ausgebildete Anlagebereich 3 des Bandes 1 in seinem Durchmesser im wesentlichen mit der Durchgangsbohrung 10 übereinstimmt, wird das Einsetzten der Fassung zudem dadurch erleichtert, daß sich die untere Hälfte der Fassung aufgrund der Einschnitte 8 federnd zusammendrücken läßt.
    Die Fassung wird soweit in die Durchgangsbohrung 10 eingeschoben, bis vom Band 1 nach außen gerichtete Rastnasen 7, die während des Einschiebens der Fassung niedergedruckt werden, den dünnwandigen Träger 2 formschlüssig hintergreifen. Die Rastnasen 7 müssen jedoch im Gegensatz zum Stand der Technik nicht gänzlich flachgedrückt werden, da sie zusammen mit den sie tragenden Federzungen zur Mittelachse hin ausweichen können. Da sowohl die Durchgangsbohrung 10 als auch der Anlagebereich 3 des Bandes 1 zylinderförmig ausgebildet sind, sitzt die den Schmuckstein 6 haltende Fassung satt in der Bohrung. Geringfügige Maßabweichungen innerhalb der Fertigungstoleranzen können darüber hinaus dadurch ausgeglichen werden, daß die ringförmige Fassung aus einem Band 1 hergestellt ist und somit einen durchgehenden Schlitz in Richtung der Mittelachse 9 aufweist.
    Das Band 1 in flachem Zustand während der Herstellung Zeigt Fig. 3. Es kann auf einfache Weise durch Stanzen und Pressen aus einem Blech hergestellt werden. Als bevorzugte Metalle werden dabei Messing, Tombak, Gold und Silber verwendet.
    In Fig. 4 ist schließlich noch ein Hohlschmuck im Schnitt gezeigt, in den zwei Schmucksteine 6 mittels erfindungsgemäßer Fassungen eingesetzt sind. Die in den Träger 2, in diesem Fall in den Hohlschmuck, eingearbeiteten Durchgangsbohrungen 10 reichen von der Außenseite bis in den Hohlraum 11 des Hohlschmucks.

    Claims (7)

    1. Fassung zur Befestigung eines Schmucksteines in einer Durchgangsbohrung eines dünnwandigen Trägers, mit einem ringförmig gebogenen Band, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Band (1) im Anlagebereich (3) an die Durchgangsbohrung (10) zylinderförmig und der untere Randbereich (4) des Bandes (1) zur Mittelachse (9) hin konisch verjüngt ist, wobei das Band (1) zumindest im unteren Randbereich (4) mindestens einen Einschnitt (8) aufweist.
    2. Fassung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der untere Randbereich (4) kegelförmig abgeschrägt ist.
    3. Fassung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Band (1) nach außen gerichtete Rastnasen (7) aufweist.
    4. Fassung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Schmuckstein (6) vom oberen Randbereich (5) des Bandes (1) umfaßt und gehalten ist.
    5. Hohlschmuck mit mindestens einem mit einer Fassung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4 befestigten Schmuckstein, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Fassung in eine von der Außenseite in den Innenraum (11) des Hohlschmucks reichende Durchgangsbohrung (10) eingesetzt ist.
    6. Hohlschmuck nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Durchmesser der Durchgangsbohrung (10) zwischen 1,0 mm und 4,0 mm liegt.
    7. Hohlschmuck nach Anspruch 5 oder 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wandstärke des mit der Durchgangsbohrung (10) versehenen Wandabschnittes des Hohlschmucks zwischen 0,1 mm und 0,4 mm liegt.
