Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for tightening a shoe intended to bring two adjustable parts thereof and relates more particularly to a tightening device adjustable in position on these parts in a direction transverse to that of the tightening force which it is able to exercise by means of a tension lever with which it is provided.
  • Clamping devices of this type are known from German patent applications No. 19 41 025 and No. 24 14 439, as well as from Swiss patent No. 668 682.
  • the relative position of the elements which constitute and which connect the adjustable parts of the shoe can be adjusted in order to modify the direction of the tightening force to be applied to these adjustable parts and in order to respect the morphology of the user's foot.
  • a tightening device comprises a tension lever, the base of which is adjustable in angular position on a rigid notched plate fixed by rivets on one of the adjustable parts of the shoe. in the instep area.
  • This lever is intended to pull on a link whose ends are connected to the same adjustable part of the shoe as that which carries the lever. Between its two ends, the link rests on two fixed references located on the other adjustable part of the shoe, another lever ensuring the adjustment of the active length of the link and the opening-closing of the upper of the shoe.
  • the links of the link are fixed in position, one in the region of the rod and the other in that of the toe, and it is the adjustment of the position of the tension lever on the rigid plate which changes the direction of the clamping force.
  • This tightening device is therefore adjustable in position relative to the adjustable parts of the shoe, thanks to the notched plate, in the direction transverse to that of the tightening force which it exerts via the tension lever, the resulting from this force being directed at the instep region
  • the tightening device comprises two rigid slides which extend substantially parallel to one another and which are each fixed by rivets on one of the adjustable parts of the shoe.
  • An articulated assembly presenting a tension lever, to which an adjustable tie rod is linked, is mounted to slide by pieces of profiled ends on the two slides thus connected together.
  • the clamping device is therefore adjustable in position on the adjustable parts of the shoe by means of the slides in a direction transverse, even perpendicular, to that of the tightening force which it exerts using the tension lever.
  • This type of tightening device allows effective pulling on the adjustable part of the shoe extending opposite the tension lever and allows the tightening force to be adjusted in accordance with the morphology of the user's foot. .
  • the articulated assembly does not have a positive stop means with respect to the slides, it is likely to slide thereon as soon as it is opened. In reality, to avoid any adjustment, it is necessary to reposition it on the latter after each opening maneuver. In addition, when the clamping force is relatively low, the articulated assembly with its lever can inadvertently slide along the slides even if it is closed.
  • This tightening device also proves to be relatively complex due to the numerous parts to be implemented at the level of the articulated lever assembly to allow the tension to be adjusted, and difficult to carry out because it involves the production of very specific profiled slides. .
  • the tightening device described is adjustable in position on one of the adjustable parts of the upper of the shoe, in a direction transverse to that of the clamping force which it exerts by a tension lever, by means of a rigid insert provided with several attachment points on which the base is positively fixed the base of a tie rod secured to said lever.
  • a rigid insert provided with several attachment points on which the base is positively fixed the base of a tie rod secured to said lever.
  • the direction of the clamping force also varies, but, unlike the devices described above, in the opposite direction to that of the adjustment made on the insert.
  • the object of the present invention is to allow adjustment of the tightening device symmetrically to the adjustable parts of the shoe without requiring repositioning between the opening-closing operations, and by avoiding a significant overall deformation of at least one of the adjustable parts. of the shoe.
  • the invention also aims to provide a clamping device comprising means for adjusting the position which are simple and effective, not bulky, easy to make and to implement.
  • the adjustable tightening device in position on adjustable parts of a shoe in a direction transverse to that of the tightening force which it is capable of exerting by means of a tension lever with which it is provided is characterized in that the tension lever is mounted on a base which is provided, on the one hand, with a removable attachment element intended for the retain on any one of several attachment points made in a rigid insert secured to one of the adjustable parts of the shoe, and on the other hand, a notch, intended to cooperate with a corresponding means such as a boss obtained on said adjustable part of the shoe.
  • the rigid insert is, advantageously, at least partially inserted into the thickness of the wall of this adjustable part on which it is fixed.
  • This at least partial insertion into the thickness of the wall of the adjustable part dispenses with having to use numerous rivets or other equivalent means to rigidly fix the insert because it makes it possible to distribute the pressures exerted on the insert over a larger area than that which would be offered by rivets.
  • the tension lever acts on a tie rod which cooperates with a retaining element which is adjustable in position on the other adjustable part of the shoe.
  • This retaining element is provided with a guide means which cooperates with a corresponding guide means carried by the adjustable part of the shoe in order to allow its adjustment in alignment position vis-à-vis the tension lever.
  • the tightening device 1 is intended to bring two adjustable parts 2 and 3 of the shoe which can be, as in this example, the closing flaps of the base of the shell 4. It is of course the tightening device 1 can also be adapted to the closing flaps 2 'and 3' of the upper 5 of the shoe.
  • a tension lever 6 pivoting on a base 7 around an axis 7 'and a rigid insert 8 fixed by rivets 9.
  • This rigid insert 8, of elongated shape is obtained with several attachment points 10, such as tapped holes in one of which, as desired, a removable attachment element 11 is intended to be mounted in order to ensure the positive retention of the base 7 of the lever tension 6 at the chosen attachment point 10.
  • the base 7, which in fact forms a yoke for the axis 7 ′ of the lever 6, is provided on one side with the attachment element 11, and on the other side with a notch which cooperates with a corresponding assembly means, such as a boss 13, produced on the adjustable part 3.
  • the attachment element 11 and the notch 12 are centered relative to the yoke that constitutes the base 7, and are aligned in a direction 60, shown in broken lines, substantially perpendicular to that 61 of the axis 7 ′ of pivoting of the lever 6.
  • the attachment points 10 of the insert 8 are also arranged parallel to the direction 61 of the axis 7'.
  • bosses 13 are produced as there are attachment points 10, and the bosses 13 are also aligned in this transverse direction, parallel to the attachment points 10.
  • the tightening device 1 also comprises, on the other adjustable part 2 of the boot, a retaining element 20 adjustable in position with which cooperates a tie rod 21 connected to the tension lever 6.
  • This retaining element consists of a rack whose notches 20 'allow to vary the attachment position of the tie rod 21, and therefore to vary the clamping force that can exert the tension lever 6 on the two adjustable parts 2 and 3 of the shoe.
  • the retaining element 20 is also provided transversely adjustable.
  • a guide means 22 constituted by a pin, which cooperates with a corresponding guide means 23 formed by an oblong slot.
  • the pin 22 is mounted to slide freely in the oblong opening 23 which extends transversely in a direction 63, shown in dashed lines, substantially parallel to that 61 of the axis 7 'of the lever 6 and the attachment points 10 of the 'insert 8. Thanks to its arrangements, the retaining element 20 can thus be easily placed opposite the tension lever 6 without causing deformation of the adjustable part 2 of the shoe on which it is slidably mounted.
  • the insert 8 is at least partially inserted into the thickness of the adjustable part 3 of the shoe.
  • This arrangement makes it possible to distribute over a large area the pressures exerted on the insert 8 when the tension lever 6 is implemented, and also makes it possible to integrate at least part of the constituent parts of the clamping device 1 in the overall external volume of the shoe.
  • the clamping force which the clamping device 1 can exert may be high, risks of deterioration of the parts or of parts subjected locally to high pressures are likely to appear. This is precisely what is likely to occur in the sliding zone of the retaining element 20 on the adjustable part 2 of the shoe which, for its part, is generally obtained from a relatively flexible material to ensure its closing function and adaptation to the morphology of the user's foot.
  • a resistant part 30 sheaths the guide means 23, that is to say the oblong lumen.
  • This piece can come from an insert molded with the adjustable part 2 of the shoe or be attached and fixed thereon for example by welding, gluing, etc.. It is obvious that in this case of construction, the pin 22 which constitutes the guide means of the rack 20 is then adjusted to the oblong lumen 23 'determined on the part 30.
  • This pin 22 located at the rear end 32 of the rack 20 can be provided cylindrical in order to allow the latter to turn on it to align very precisely with the tension lever 6, in particular when the transverse adjustment is carried out with a certain approximation.
  • the rack 20 is not envisaged pivoting mounted but rather maintained and guided in translation on the resistant part 30.
  • the resistant part 30 is provided with a guide zone 31, such that 'a shoulder, parallel to the oblong opening 23', along which slides the front end 33 of the rack 20 which constitutes a complementary guide zone.
  • the constituent parts of the clamping device 1 can be produced and / or arranged in a manner different from that which has just been described.
  • the clamping device 41 comprises a tension lever 46 which is provided with a rack 40, while the retaining element 50 is provided with a tie rod 42.
  • the tension lever we simply transferred to the tension lever the rack which was previously on the retaining element, and the tie rod which was on the lever on the retaining element 50.
  • the latter, 50 is obtained in the form of a mushroom whose the cap 51, projecting from the corresponding adjustable part 2 of the shoe, is provided with the tie rod 42 actuated by the tension lever 46 and whose foot, 52, equivalent to the tenon 22 of the preceding retaining element 20, is slidably mounted in the oblong slot 23.
  • the description of the assembly comprising the lever 46 with its attachment to the adjustable part 3 of the shoe is not repeated since all the preceding characteristics set out with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5 are t unchanged.
