Definitions

  • Such systems with fixed contact elements arranged in the base area are used for example in miniature relays, the contact springs directly with a rocker armature are connected, which in turn is preferably by a polarized magnet system is operated. Because with such relays for low current applications also very small contact distances are provided, they must also be used during production can be set with very narrow tolerances.
  • EP-A-0 423 834 is a relay of the type mentioned known in which the fixed contact elements in such a base are anchored that the contact carrier sections initially Stand out freely on the front of the base. To this They are in the course of manufacturing for attacking Adjustment tools accessible. However, it is with the one there Relay then required when assembling the Free base ends thanks to additional cap-like base parts cover, so that the so completed base together can form a closed housing with a cap. This Housing can then in a known manner with potting compound or curable adhesive to be sealed.
  • the aim of the invention is to provide a relay of the type mentioned Specify the type and a process for its manufacture, at after the assembly of all construction parts, after after closing the housing and after sealing all intermediate construction and housing parts existing column Adjustment is possible.
  • this is the case with a relay of the type mentioned Art achieved in that the bottom plate in each case Area below each contact carrier section one has window-shaped recess open to the outside. On in this way the contact carrier section can pass through the recess even after assembling the relay Adjustment are bent, preferably a predetermined bending point near the clamping of the contact carrier section is provided.

On this way the recess can be adjusted with a Drops of an adhesive can be sealed without this Glue runs into the interior of the housing.
  • the inventive method for producing such Relay is that after assembling the electromagnetic system on the base provided with the contact element and after the known closing and sealing of the housing - With the exception of the recesses below the contact carrier sections - The respective contact carrier section for adjustment a predetermined contact distance to one associated movable contact element by means of a the recess of the base engaging adjustment tool its angular position deformed relative to the clamping point becomes.
  • This adjustment is primarily carried out using an adjusting pin, the contact carrier section clamped on one side pushes and deforms towards the inside of the housing. It in this case, the tolerances in production Expediently chosen so that the contact carrier sections are slightly bent outwards. Basically is but not to be ruled out that with suitable tools too subsequently a bend in the contact carrier sections is made to the outside. This can be done either by hook-shaped Adjustment tools happen at accordingly large dimensioning of the recess on the contact carrier section attack and pull it outwards, or it could too with suction forces on the outside of the contact carrier section attacking adjustment tools are used. In the Suspension of the contact carrier section via torsion bars adjustment in two directions is possible anyway.
  • the adjustment process occurs at a time when the relay is almost completed is. That means that the relay is already fully assembled, optionally also magnetized, cast and annealed is. So all relaxation and tension processes are already completed.
  • the only one that is subsequently necessary Sealing the recesses can be done with the anyway necessary Sealing ventilation holes to be made; by filling in an adhesive, for example a UV adhesive, the adjusted contact carrier sections are also in the cutouts finally fixed.

If this is not the case, use the adjustment pin 24 the contact carrier section 6 pressed so far, until contact is made with the movable contact 22. This can be measured via the contact connections. After that a path corresponding to the minimum overrun is additionally adjusted. This ensures the lower limit of burn-off safety. Then the relay is switched so that the opposite contact side also in the same way can be adjusted.
  • a response value can also be set in each case by bending the contact carrier sections 6.
  • the relay is energized with a ramping up or down value until it switches. If the excitation value measured at the time of response is not in a target range, the restoring force on the relevant side can be increased by adjusting the contact carrier sections, so that the relay switches over when the excitation is lower or correspondingly higher.
  • Readjustments can also cause spreading between the two contact springs 21 are compensated individually. If for example by spreading the contact springs Contact distances a1 and a2 are different in FIG. 9, what was determined by electrical measurement of the closing time can be made by different re-bending the contact carrier sections 6 are the same on both sides Contact distance can be established.
  • FIGS. 10 to 12 show a further embodiment of a Contact carrier section analogous to Figures 5 to 7 shown.
  • a contact carrier section 28 cut free with both ends over the recess 8 and in its center on both sides via torsion bars 29 to the fixed contact element 4 connected.
  • In the drawing is a cut shown by one of the torsion bars 29. So with this Embodiment with the adjustment pin 24 optionally on the one end below the fixed contact 7 according to Figure 11 or are pressed onto the other end according to FIG. Accordingly the fixed contact is moved up or down, wherein the torsion bars 29 are permanently deformed. The recess 8 can then in the same way as shown in the figure 8 are shed.
  • FIG. 13 shows a contact carrier section in a further modification 30 on which the fixed contact 7 is not immediately but is attached via a contact spring 31. Furthermore this contact carrier section 30 is adjustable in the same way like the contact carrier section 6 according to FIGS. 1 till 8.
