Abstract

Eine Vorrichtung zum Auftragen bestimmbarer Mengen insbesondere auch viskoser Flüssigkeiten (7) auf ein bewegtes Substrat (6) umfaßt eine in Vorrichtungslänge sich lang erstreckende Auftragungsrolle (1), eine die Auftragungsrolle (1) mit Flüssigkeit (7) beaufschlagende Zuführeinrichtung, eine die Auftragungsrolle (1) gegen das Substrat (6) pressende Anpreßeinrichtung, die bei Anpressung zwischen der Auftragungsrolle (1) und dem Substrat (6) einen in Laufrichtung (D) der Auftragungsrolle (1) sich verengenden Einzugszwickel bildet, und wenigstens ein auf dem Substrat (6) die Breite der aufgetragenen Flüssigkeit (Auftragungsbreite) begrenzendes, mit der Auftragungsrolle (1) zusammenwirkendes Begrenzungselement. Das Begrenzungselement ist durch einen Formkörper (4) gebildet, der die Auftragungsrolle (1) entlang eines Rollenlängsabschnitts (A) über einen Teil ihres Umfangs unter Belassen ihrer Drehbarkeit form- und querschnittsgleich einfaßt, wobei der Rollenlängsabschnitt (A) teilweise einen zur Bewegungsrichtung des Substrats (6) quer gerichteten, in diese Querrichtung einen Flüssigkeitseinzug bewirkenden Abschnitt (R) bildet.
