Abstract

Bei einer Tiefkühltruhe (1) für Tiefkühlgut, insbesondere für Tiefkühlkost und Speiseeis, mit einem kastenförmigen Gehäuse (2), das in seinem oberen Bereich eine von zumindest einer Befüll- und Entnahmeseite (3) zugängliche Entnahmeöffnung (13) aufweist, die durch einen beweglich gelagerten, vorzugsweise zumindest teilweise transparenten Deckel (15) wahlweise zu schließen und zu öffnen ist, ist der Deckel (15) um eine Drehachse (18) schwenkbar gelagert, wobei der Deckel (15) durch eine Schließkraft in seine Schließstellung so beaufschlagt ist, daß der Deckel (15) selbsttätig schließt.
