Definitions
- the invention relates to a covering element for creating a Surface covering, in particular a floor covering.
- a covering element for creating a surface covering in particular to create a flooring that is not just one high smoothness and noise reduction results, but also good Insulation properties and high durability.
- the covering element constructed according to the invention contains one plate-shaped, made of shock-elastic material Basic body, with recesses distributed over its surface is provided by assigned to the material of the Base body harder wood existing fillers are filled.
- the measures according to the invention result in a composite body with a long service life and a high level of comfort, because here the special ones Advantages of wood can be used without its disadvantages To have to buy.
- Wood is a natural material with good ones Load, wear and insulation properties.
- the invention Measures thus lead to a natural, warm and nevertheless wear-resistant surface, through which on the Use of wood targeting building biological and architectural requirements can be met.
- Recesses are surrounded by relatively narrow webs. These webs made of shock-elastic material can be a Compensate for expansion or shrinkage of the packing so that it is open Gaps or faults can be avoided.
- the base body can advantageously consist of cork.
- Cork is one natural material with good damping and Insulation properties. Natural materials of this type are used in the living area in particular from medical, hygienic and aesthetic reasons particularly preferred. cork can also be combined well with wood. The fillings made of wood together with a base body made of cork made entirely of natural, easily combinable materials existing covering element, the advantages of each material for Come wear.
- the fillers can expediently consist of hardwood and preferably be designed as end grain tiles. Here result a particularly good load-bearing capacity and wear resistance.
- the covering element on which FIGS. 1 and 2 are based consists of a plate-shaped base body 1, which is uniformly over its Surface recesses 2 is provided, and from in the Recesses 2 used, these fillers 3.
- the Base body 1 consists of cork-elastic material, expediently natural cork in the form of a plate-shaped cork tile.
- the platelets forming the packing 3 are here made of wood, suitably made of hardwood.
- the assigned in the Recesses 2 used packing 3 are by a Glue connection firmly connected to the filler 1.
- shock-elastic cork to form the Base body 1 and comparatively hard wood to form the Packing body 3 results overall in a covering element, which is good Has damping and insulation properties and still one has a firm, durable surface. It would be conceivable to Formation of the covering element according to the invention also others impact-elastic materials and, in contrast, harder materials to combine with each other. The use of cork and wood however results in an overall consisting of natural materials Covering element, which is biologically valuable.
- the recesses 2 of the packing 1 are, as is best known Figure 2 can be seen as closed at the bottom Pocket recesses formed so that the packing 3 from Material of the base body are included.
- the depth of the Recesses 2 corresponds approximately to half the thickness of the base body 1, so that the filler 3 enclosing area of the Base body 1 has a sufficient layer thickness.
- the Recesses 2 are distributed over the surface of the base body 1, that they are only by comparatively narrow webs 4 surrounding them are separated from each other. The width of these webs 4 is chosen that the unavoidable shrinkage and elongation behavior of the the filler 3 forming wood can be added. Experience has shown that a web width of the order of magnitude is sufficient Base body thickness 1.
- the wooden tiles provided to form the filler 3 are useful, as indicated in Figure 1 by annual rings, as End grain tiles.
- the face of wood is special wear-resistant.
- the end grain tiles mentioned can simply be used as Sections of a correspondingly profiled bar made become. This can be conveniently made up of several, together glued strips of existing glue binders so that wooden tile made up of several partial surfaces, as further indicated in Figure 1. This results in a particularly high one Strength and in particular avoids the risk of cracking. In addition this also results in an appealing, aesthetic Appearance.
- the base body 1 has a peripheral edge profile 5, with two adjoining edge edges with upwards open grooves and two adjacent edges with grooves open at the bottom are provided. This leads to a with respect to a diagonal mirror image of the Edge profiling 5, which is a simple laying together subsequent covering elements with mutual fold enabled.
- the edge profile 5 can be milled. But it is also like in Figure 3 is indicated, possible, to form the base body 1 two Plates 1a, 1b with the corresponding offset of the edge profile to attach to each other, for example by a glue connection to connect firmly.
- the lower plate is 1a without exception.
- the recesses 2 are only in the upper plate 1b provided. This is with this Provide passage recesses, which are then through the Plate 1a are closed from below.
- the above Through recesses can be made by a simple Edge cut to be cut out, making the Cutting work reduced to the circumferential cut.
- the tapered fittings 3 can before Attachment of the lower plate 1a from below into the associated one Recesses 2 are used.
- the underside of the covering element according to the invention is expediently prepared ready for installation.
- the bottom can be used for this be provided with a self-adhesive coating 6 which, as in FIG 2 is indicated, is protected by a release film 7. In the Laying is only to peel off the release liner 7.
- the top of the Covering element according to the invention can be prepared such that no further finishing is required after installation.
- a ground surface 8 is therefore expediently provided can be oiled or waxed.
