Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for producing a Packaging consisting essentially of plastic film, with means of opening the packaging without the aid of Tool and packaging that can be produced afterwards.
  • Packaging that without the use of tools, such as. Knives, can openers etc., can be opened, i.e. so-called easy-open systems have been used in recent years because of the significant simplification of handling the consumer has become increasingly important.
  • plastic film packaging is so-called tear strips known either in the film material are incorporated or subsequently on the filled Packaging by welding on at the same time Embossing.
  • a packaging is known from US Pat. No. 4,840,270, into which a removal opening is punched which is then covered by a partially removable strip. The one for this attached cuts are curved and self-contained around a corresponding removal opening define. When the cover strip is pulled off, a complete one is immediately obtained Removal opening exposed from which the product can be removed.
  • the object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages to overcome the known prior art and a To provide procedures with which for packaging made of plastic film reliably an easy-open concept can be realized.
  • this object is achieved in that the Plastic film fed from the roll to a cutting station will be in one of the size of the final packaging adapted clock cuts are attached, each of which is substantially rectilinear and their Width is less than the width of the plastic film and cut through the thickness completely; that in the area the cuts cover them completely Cover strips are applied in a sealing but removable manner; and that the plastic film prepared in this way in in a manner known per se for the final packaging is processed further.
  • the cuts by a number of partial cuts separated by webs appropriate.
  • the width of the Partial cuts and / or the webs in different places the cuts are the same or, in the second alternative, to be different.
  • the invention further provides that a number n first sequence of partial sections Partial cuts of constant width alternating with a one Number m of second sections comprising partial cuts Partial cuts of constant width is applied, the Width of the partial sections belonging to the first sequence of the width of the partial cuts belonging to the second sequence is different.
  • n 1 and m is 1.
  • n 1 and m is 2.
  • polypropylene one or multilayer polyamide
  • polypropylene with the polyamide layer is preferably either a coextruded polyamide or consists of at least two polyamide layers, wherein which is a layer of a polyamide with high barrier properties while the other layer is made of a polyamide with high shrinkage.
  • A is preferred as the material for the cover strip Laminate used, the inner one, above the cuts in the Plastic film arranged layer of an adhesive peelable plastic consists, preferably of a copolymer made of polyethylene and polypropylene.
  • the method of the present invention realizes several Advantages that - at least in this combination - at Processes according to the prior art have not yet been implemented have been.
  • On the other hand is a manufactured by the inventive method Packaging by pulling off the cover strip over the Cut and break up the packaging due to deformation the same particularly easy in the area of the cut open and remove the content.
  • the advantages described are particularly noticeable, if the filled packaging undergoes a sterilization process is subjected.
  • the system described is without able to withstand temperatures and internal pressures to withstand such a process, on the other the packaging material is subject to such Heat treatment of shrinkage, which is the breaking up of the Packaging by deformation after pulling off the Masking tape over the cut further facilitated.
  • the Advantages described with packaging that one Sterilization process are known with Easy-Open systems not accessible.
  • the use of the preferred materials both for the plastic film as well as for the cover strip bring even more advantages.
  • the special preferred laminate plastic film offers enough Stability that no stretch due to the deduction from the roll and there is no tearing of the cut made.
  • each one in one of the size of the final packaging adapted stroke made cuts, its width is less than the width of the plastic film and the die Plastic film completely cut through by a number of partial cuts separated by webs, is generally an increased mechanical stability after achievable packaging achieved. This increased mechanical stability is also reflected in the Withdrawal behavior during film transport in the Packaging machine in such a way that it is used by thinner foils is possible. It also diminishes there is a risk of the film tearing.
  • the quality of the sealed seam increases the higher strength.
  • the heating energy requirement, which is required when the cover strip is sealed is reduced.
  • Another procedural advantage is that by cutting through a number of through webs separate partial sections is attached, the feed of the heating energy required for sealing from the Tear strip opposite side is simplified.
  • the packaging that can be produced by the method according to the invention shows a higher compared to transport stress mechanical stability, which not only leads to a reduction the product loss caused by transport damage leads, but especially if it is perishable Products, reduces the risk of microbial spoilage.
  • the width of the partial cut delimited by two webs larger or is less than or equal to the width of a web.
  • FIG. 1 can be seen for packaging using plastic film 10 from a supply roll rollers used to smooth the film run (not shown) fed to a cutting station 20.
  • a Cut 11 by means of a cutting tool 25.
  • the cut 11 becomes centered in the film 10 attached, the width of the cut 11 so too choose is that - depending on the plastic material used - by further pulling off the film Elongation or tearing of the cut is avoided. It is essential that the cut 11 is not just one Weakening of the plastic material causes, but this completely severed.
  • the subsequent station 30 for applying the cover strips 15 these are based on a known Technology manufactured, supplied and applied. This is done first a feed from a supply roll 32 a cutting station 34, in the cover strip 15 in the desired Width, e.g. 6 to 12 mm. These masking strips are applied to a vacuum Stamp 35 of a sealing device 36 fixed. Subsequently the sealing device 36 is rotated by 180 ° and the with Vacuum-fixed cover strips 15 on the next one supplied Cut 11 in the plastic film 10 at one Temperature of approx. 210 ° C sealed so that the cut is completely sealed.
